I drink alot of PPride's cool aid and I went to the McCallie game. A top 25 national team doesnt give up half (18) their points in Special Teams. With that said though, BG defense only gave up 18 points against a team with speed to burn. I don't really care much about national ranking. I just want them to keep playing well and representing the state well. McCallie - Check ; Blackman - Unknown.

Who exactly did they beat again? I was in TN this past weekend, actually in Memphis and I was braggin on BG about their huge win over McCallie and you would have thought I had two heads...

Big Big game coming up when they face Blackmon especially if Blackmon continues to win in the fashion they are winning. If the Purples win this one & Trinity continues to struggle then Bowling will no doubt have a legit claim to #1 in the state!!!

To be honest it is the first time I have know of McCallie. I don't think they are old good like T, but only recently good. But they are in 320s in max preps and your Florida club H played is in 980s. Max preps isnt be all end all, but it is a guage and that Fla squad is Clearly below McCallie.

 

Just because some guys at a bar in Memphis dont know McCallie doesnt diminish the quality squad I saw on Friday night. They are a nice squad. I dont think any Purple fan annointed them as best in TN. Its good H has Cov Cath in their district or all we would know about them is the Elder game. Just sayin

FWIW, Elmsworth decided not to play Higlands this yr...

If Ensworth plays like they did against Trinity, McCallie will have their butts handed to them. Write it down that I said it!!!

Of course, Cathedral is in Indiana, not TN. They lost two games already and seem to be having a rebuilding year.

Ensworth is the returning state champion and is ranked #1 in the state. If you have any questions about Ensworth talk to the T faithful.

Same as above but insert Colerain, who people are thinking are going to win the state championship in Ohio, which is VERY hard to do.

Moeller is expected to contend, just like always.

Bottom line is that people from NKY are very hard to convince because the southern Ohio hs football teams play very good football compared to other states. It's not a knock on BG at all. One example would be if BG would have scheduled and beat Ensworth, it would be more impressive than beating McCallie, for obvious reasons.

I'll let you know about Siegel Friday. We travel to Murfreesboro to play them on Thursday night (TV game). They lost their QB from last season (MTSU head coach's son) but they are still loaded. As you said above, that's a huge IF for McAllie to compete with Ensworth. McAllie has not made it past the opening round of the D2 playoffs since 2006. A good program, but not close to the Big 3 Private schools (MBA, Ensworth & BA) or the top Class 6A public programs (Memphis Whitehaven, Maryville, Murfreesboro Oakland, Riverdale, Blackman and Siegel, etc.)
