September 25, 201312 yr The lackluster effort against scrubs like the Cubs, Brewers, and Mets over the final month is alarming. Why they do it every year, when their good or bad.
September 25, 201312 yr Author Why they do it every year, when their good or bad. Don't think that's even close to accurate.
September 25, 201312 yr I never want to hear about how great Votto is defensively again. He's awful. There has got to be something wrong with him. He's made so many mental errors this year, he's taking a ton of called 3rd strikes, he's taking pitches he used to drive and hitting weak grounders to 1st and 2nd. Either something's wrong with him, or he's one of those guys that just completely mailed it in after cashing in. Wait what? hello is this thing on? Hasnt someone been saying this all year? Hello?
September 25, 201312 yr Author While the Reds are choking, the Cardinals have a 3-1 lead over the Nationals and the Pirates have them loaded down 1-0 in the 3rd in Chicago.
September 25, 201312 yr Don't think that's even close to accurate. Wasnt too long ago they were in a wild card race and lost three straight to the Brewers in Milwaukee and season was over.
September 25, 201312 yr Author Wasnt too long ago they were in a wild card race and lost three straight to the Brewers in Milwaukee and season was over. Try 14 years ago....
September 25, 201312 yr This team is going nowhere fast. The season is now reduced to a crapshoot. That's what a one game "playoff" is in baseball - a total crapshoot.
September 25, 201312 yr Author This team is going nowhere fast. No effort. They clinched a postseason berth Monday night, and while they said the right things ("We aren't satisfied with a WC"), they came out flat and with no energy or fire yesterday or today. Actions speak louder than words. Just an embarrassing 3 days at GABP.
September 25, 201312 yr Author Loved BP's effort on the ground out in the 9th too...Exactly what you like to see out of one of your veteran "leaders".
September 25, 201312 yr Have tickets to Sunday's game. Have a feeling the only thing we'll be "celebrating" is the fact that the little one will get to run the bases after the game is over.
