September 25, 201312 yr I should be benched. I let the team down. What a disappointment. So much for having a good record with you in attendance. That was horrendous last night.
September 25, 201312 yr Author So much for having a good record with you in attendance. That was horrendous last night. It was prime example #1 of why Leake cannot be in the postseason rotation. When he doesn't have it, a AAA lineup will shell him. For the record 12-2 isn't too shabby.

September 25, 201312 yr Author You beat me to it. The lineup and pointing out the puzzling Izturis start. I'm going to assume DiceK (does anyone even call him that any more?) sucks against lefties, but even if that's the case, I'd imagine Cozart would have a better chance than him.

September 25, 201312 yr About playoff roster... "We still haven't decided," manager Dusty Baker said before Tuesday's game against the Mets. "There's a lot of variables here and a lot of things we have to decide. I know Billy is the topic of the day, and they're selling T-shirts up there already. It's just that, that's not the focal point of where we're going. Billy is a possible part for that." MLB.com

September 25, 201312 yr The WC game roster can be different than the Divisional series, right? If that's the case, there's absolutely NO reason why he wouldn't be on the WC roster. If they start Latos, I'd go ahead and still put Leake on it (he'd be rested, plus you'll probably not be using him in the next series anyway) just in case Mat has a bizarre exit like Cueto did. Those would be the only two starters on the roster. So, it'd open up more than enough roster spots for Hamilton to have. The bigger question comes for the next round(s). You gotta figure Izturis will be there as backup for Phillips and Cozart. And while he hasn't done anything, I think Dusty will feel the same about Hanahan for Frazier and Votto. Your extra outfielders will be between Heisey, Paul, Robinson and Hamilton. Heisey I think will be on, just because he's a right-hander, with a chance for some power. Paul is the same, but from the left side. His drawback is that he's probably not as good defensively as Robinson or Hamilton.
