I can find a 5 year old that knows you have to stay in front of the ball. I never want to hear about how great Votto is defensively again. He's awful. There has got to be something wrong with him. He's made so many mental errors this year, he's taking a ton of called 3rd strikes, he's taking pitches he used to drive and hitting weak grounders to 1st and 2nd. Either something's wrong with him, or he's one of those guys that just completely mailed it in after cashing in.

I promised myself I wouldn't get on him offensively because, while some things he does or doesn't do don't always make sense, he is still hitting over .300. And while it would be nice for him to drive in more runs it isn't his fault there aren't runners in scoring position in front of him. However, defensively he is atrocious. On a team that is above average defensively if he even has a slightly above average year it makes this team great.
