Only about 4 Kentucky opponents that Bg could play would be as good. Trinity, Highlands, Scott Co and X.

They are in the same district with Ensworth, Montgomery Bell and Brentwood Academy. Yes they play a difficult schedule.

Agreed, I was looking at the long term records since 2001, not current year. Confusing.

Looking at their records the past several years made me wonder why they're considered a state power. Sorry I don't know much about TN football. I'm a huge BG fan as I used to catch some games when I was at WKU. Sorry to disappoint you but you know what they say about when you assume something.

Nope. I'm not rooting against them either, I am 100% in the "I could not care less" column. My life doesn't change one iota, nor does my heart rate go up 1 BPM based on the outcome of that game.

 

As I said in the Trinity / Colerain thread last week, this blanket of all for one and one for all when a KY HS plays an out of state school just baffles me. You think someone in Tennessee thinks more of Bellevue or Ludlow if they get housed by the Purples? No; they think more of the Purples. And anyone the Purples have run over in their run of dominance. Even with that being said, what is that worth?

 

Why am I supposed to care what Bowling Green's mythical national ranking is? They are playing for a 5A state title, nothing more and nothing less, and, as we all know, they will win that. Again.

 

I love being from the Commonwealth of KY, am very proud to be a Kentuckian, but I'm not even a smidge concerned about the perception of our state football programs in other states...except Ohio where I happen to work. Even that, however, comes up about 1x a month.

 

I guess it is just me, but I just don't get it.

 

I don't care what other states think about our high school football. I never think about that. I just want to see the Ky team win when they play an out of state school. It's that simple for me.
