Again, I'm NOT anti-Dixie, they are a good football team, but that is it. They have a very good QB and a group of youngsters getting better, but they are just good.

 

I understand what you said. I was just asking your thoughts. I think we both agree after top 5 or 6 it may be a wash on the rest

While I may agree and disagree with some of your statements, I think it's still too early to tell how good DHHS really is. Can they sustain and improve? Don't know, but they are definately more physical than they have been.

 

I don't think I would rank them in the top ten. Just too early with this team.

Its not the fact that trinity has 3 losses, its the fact that they have not played well in those losses IMO.

 

Trinity would look alot better if they played Scott County or SK's schedule. IMO the verdict is still out on how good Scott County is; however, I have seen both Trinity and SK and Trinity could name the score against SK.

A lack of respect for my Pioneers, in my opinion. You can't convince me that we aren't top 10 in the state and in the top 4 in 6A. We'll make some noise once we jump into our district schedule in a few weeks. Not scared by St. X, Male or Tates Creek (huh?). As for T naming the score, not so sure about that. We may be big enough up front to stalemate those big boys at Trinity. Team I don't want to play....Scott County. Very athletic.

Whah! Two teams from the same city should not have the opportunity to play for a state championship. Unless the 32 team playoff bracket were seeded....When X and T play, just consider that the "SEC CHAMPIONSHIP" of KY HS football. But only one can make it to the title game. As for Ballard and Male, playing for third...

Do you think Scott Co and Simon Kenton are both better teams then Trinity and would win games against the Rocks or are you just basing this on the fact that both are undefeated and Trinity has 3 losses?

 

I think Scott County will hold there own against T again this year. As far as talent they have 4 good running backs that can also catch the ball and the Daniels kid is the best all around athelete in the state. I would say if SC played T's schedule the out come would look the same 1 win 3 losss. Scott County is a monster to some, but they are a kitten to none. The biggest problem SC has with T is in SC player mind.

3. Trinity –- OPEN

So who should be in the top 10 instead of Dixie? If we use the dreaded score comparison, it isn't Henderson County. Dixie played Covington Catholic tougher than Henderson County and had a good shot at beating Cov Cath in a goal line series at the end of the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Dixie. But a second year coaching staff coming off a 3 and 8 year still trying to get kids to buy into a new system. I see some good things that I haven't seen in a while from a Dixie team. I guess I'm still an "prove it to me mode". I'm just not ready to rank them top ten in 6A.

So you are saying we shouldn't base it on geography?

 

It's not the fault of the Louisville schools that the rest of the state sees small schools as the ideal as opposed to expanding and hiring enough teachers to keep class sizes smaller.

Scott Co. is having a good year and may be loaded, but they have to BEAT T or X or maybe both this year to prove they belong in the discussion with T or X. No disrespect. I know Scott Co. has been working on it for a few years.... Maybe this is their YEAR!!!! But they will have to prove it on the field and not BGP......

I agree I am just talking about talent. I do not know if it will be this year, I think it will be a good game but the kids mind set is T or X has always beat SC.

 

I am not comparing programs or tradition in my post, T, X, and Highlands have the greatest programs as far as logevity, consistency of winning seasons and all around talent.

I like it, 6a drops off fast after 5 as most classes do.
