I was listening to 105.7 this morning located out of Manchester and they were talking about OBI having a 6'8 or 6'9 kid that was ruled eligible to play today.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Why has this thread become an Owsley-Lee discussion, when it is about a game between Owsley and Oneida Baptist???

Owsley is going through a difficult time right now. It's tough enough to deal with turmoil within a program. The last thing anyone needs is outsiders making accusations or excuses about players without knowing the whole inside story. I don't even know the story myself, and I'm from Owsley County. But I know enough to know that Daniel did not leave the team because of another player or players. There was a bigger reason which I won't discuss on an open board.

But we must be aware that these are kids we are dealing with, and some of them read these posts. There's no need in causing anymore hurt.

I agree Professor, even if I may be an "OUTSIDER". Seems to me though some of the outsiders have been more friendly than the "insiders"

Well said professor. This is entertainment for us, but please remember, we are talking about kids. Why don't we just stop this, and get back to talking about whether Owsley or Oneida will win tonight. Owls by 10.

You may be right about that. But I would just like for eveything to calm down. This has been a very difficult season for the Owls and their followers. I love Owsley County and all their sports teams, and I am saddened to see us going into a depth that we haven't seen since the 1970's :cry: . Any inspiration or positive posts for our kids from "outsiders" and "insiders" would be greatly appreaciated, at least from me. :thumb:

I to love Owsley County and there sports teams, as well as, high school sports in general. Things will get better tomorrow is another day. I think Owsley will win by 5 points. Well said LeeCoBobcatfan.

I am guessing the "insider" thing could have been pointed at me. If it was, all I can say is I call them how I see them. If it hurts someone's feelings I'm sorry, but this is a sports forum and we can express the way we feel in our posts. Why "sugar coat things", just tell them the way you see them.
