Absolutely, why wouldn't they play him ? As far as I know the NCAA hasn't issued any findings from their inquiry with Manziel. Should A&M sit him that would pretty much be admitting that he was paid to sign autographs after he tells the NCAA that he didn't.

Do I think that he was paid to sign - Yes, can I or anyone else prove it without hard evidence (money trail, records,etc.) - No. All there is now is a video of him signing some items, probably some low life bums wanting to profit by selling the story and ESPN blowing this thing sky high on here say.

I'm with you, I think they ought to play him. I don't think the appearance of guilt is all that important. If they knew when the decision was coming down, you might be able to alter the calculations, but not given this uncertainty.

If UK or UL had a 38-2 season and then lost that season later due to rules infractions, you don't think every one would be pissed off about that.

 

But if your school is used to forfeiting wins, losing scholarships, being banned from post season then I guess it's not that big of a deal.

I think they would still get top recruits and compete for a National Title. After another good season, I don't think it would be that big of a deal. Would they be upset initially, absolutely. Memphis didn't suffer because of this, they suffered because Calipari left.
