Do you play the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in this weeks game against Rice?

NCAA is still investigating and may not rule prior to this weeks game, that put A&M in a tough spot. If they believe Johnny Football then they play him right? But if the NCAA later determines that he broke the rules then every game that he played in will be forfeited and penalties for the school will be greater than if they sit him and don't play him.

Do you leave this up to the coach if your the President or AD, or do you take it out of his hands and sit Johnny?

If I'm an Administrator at A&M, he doesn't play.

Ranked No. 7 and staring down a shot at a national title for the first time in a long time.

Absolutely have to play him and get the ball rolling.

Whatever happens down the line, happens... but you can't coach a team from a position of what the NCAA may or may not do. Trying to decipher that is a road to insanity.

NCAA decisions are Schrodinger's Cat problems at this point. I think you proceed like the cat's alive and do everything to nurture it and prepare for its future until the minute that box gets opened.

I most definitely play him.
Do you think NCAA penalties would be worse if they play him than if they don't? If NCAA penalties ever come.

Great Reference!

Only if the NCAA concludes that Manziel took money and that the school was aware of it and played him anyway.

Didn't think of it that way, good point.

If I'm the coach/AD and don't play him, I deserve to be fired, regardless of whether he did it or not.

100% without question they play him.

I heard that Manziel already has attorneys ready to sue to play if school or NCAA try to sit him...heard that on TV yesterday but can't find a link to it.

If he did it and you know he did it, why would you play him?

One thing I'll say about you UKMF, you speak in very passionate absolutes.

I agree, but at this point wouldn't the NCAA be able to say that A&M did/should know due to ongoing investigation?

If you're Sumlin and the NCAA hasn't told you to sit him but you do anyway, it shows you don't trust Johnny's claim of innocence.

It could also show that you weren't born yesterday.
