I am hopeful no matter where he ends up he gets things turned around.

Really this is his 3rd chance but I am with you in that I am fine granting Dyer another chance. I am not for casting away younger fellas when there is an avenue to help someone. He just has a short leash. I am not a fan of looking at college athletes as expendable high risk, high reward commodities that can be dumped, but Dyer has not given himself much more of a choice.

UK fan/alum here (Dad has had season tickets since I was a kid), and without knowing more than than that he was a good recruit, I'll give the kid the benefit of the doubt.

 

Enjoy the UK/UofL rivalry, and it's a sweet victory when we can beat a good UofL team.

If I remember right, Ashley was told he'd never play football for UofL again but that he'd keep his scholarship so that if he wanted to turn things around and get his degree, that was going to be squarely in his court.

 

If true, that's a classy move. It's also the right one.

Since every college coach is responsible for grown men when they graduate or move on . So much for parents or themselves, instead it's who coached them for a couple of years. Love that logic.

Lets be real here. Strong obviously has learned from Urbans core values at Florida. Don't act like Urban is above the moral high ground of Strong. As long as Dyer stays out of trouble at UL there should be zero issue with him there. I'm a UK fan and defended UL, I need a shower.

He also left that area twice for a reason. UL is not even allowed to have a coach on the field right now due to actions in that neck of the woods.

I'm sure Hernandez was just such a choir-boy when he graduated Florida and the NFL just ruined him.

 

Heck, Urban had him on the straight and narrow at Florida, he gets to the NFL, and wouldn't you know it, he just up and murders someone one day. "Don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house". I love that logic.

Hernandez had multiple incidents at UF that Urban looked the other way about. One included pulling a gun on 3 men in a car outside of a club and firing into the car. He was 17 at the time.
