Sorry, but it's clear Pete will do ANYTHING for money. Not sure why you all think betting against the Reds wouldn't be included. The dude has lied about everything. Yet, he's somehow automatically telling the truth about that? Please.

UKMF Mike Schmidt, Johnny Bench, would be a couple who would disagree with you. Remember Pete was lawyered up when he got caught. He did what they told him. You are giving him way to much credit. He knows two things. Baseball and being Pete Rose...

And selling himself. COME ON, he admits his betting on the game and releases his book (w/ tours) what, a week later? So 10 years of denying and coincidentally he admits it and then releases a book he wrote detailing the betting??? All those years being just down the street from the HOF during induction week? The sports memorabilia store appearances where you pay $20 for an autograph. People who think that Pete is some sort of simple minded Westsider are being duped. I don't care that he makes as much off of his appearances as he can. He has earned that right. I just don't want to buy into the aura that is Peter Edward Rose. The guy is a sharp business mind when it comes to baseball.

You think Pete thinks all of this up by himself? Really??

I think he's pretty much a prostitute these days and always has been. For sale to the highest bidder.

Who isn't?

it scares me to think about what kind of guy I would have been if I had lived that life...

I had a short conversation with Bud Selig a few years ago and he confirmed to me that all evidence was that Pete bet on the Reds to win. Never against the Reds.

Had the privilege of attending the 1988 game in some excellent seats (thanks Marge) and have every intention of attending again in 2015.

Davey's the guy for the job. Anyone remember he had to pitch an inning at one point late in his career??

I remember this vividly for some reason

No, I know that he gets ideas thrown at him all of the time.

Fmr Mayor Jerry Springer might be nice...

Uh, NO.
