July 2, 201313 yr My favorite is the person who has to tell you about all the stuff they have to do, trying to make themselves seem more busy than they are. If you are so busy, you don't have time to tell me how busy you are.Oh yeah! We have one of those too. The same guy loves to do his best to throw everyone else under the bus. Problem is, he gets less done then most of the people he whines about.
July 2, 201313 yr My biggest complaint comes with the newer generation, who are constantly texting, playing games on the phone, and surfing the net when they should be working. When the managers are around, they can be found hiding in various rooms, texting away. These people never offer to help out coworkers who may be swamped that day with work, do as little as possible, and often leave work behind for the next shift to finish. If people are on their phones, that is the managers fault, IMO. My guys/gals are allowed to have their phones on them (for now), and they know not to abuse it. They have been taken away before.

July 2, 201313 yr If the manager sees it. I agree. But they do a good job of "hiding" where I work. Agreed. But if they do it enough, they will be caught eventually. We even had one guy that we told couldn't take his cell phone into the bathroom because he was staying in there for so long. :lol2:

Little odd at first but it works.
July 2, 201313 yr How about "Mr. Coworker-Who-Sends-You-An-Email-And-Then-Walks-Over-To-Your-Desk-To-See-If-You've-Read-The-Email-And-Explains-The-Whole-Email-In-Person-Anyway"?

Our boss does that, it is annoying, she also sends emails, walks to your desk to talk about it, but forgets to add you to the email, so you have no idea what shes talking about, then yells at you for not reading your emails timely, but she never sent it to you.

July 3, 201313 yr How about the " I make up my own words or use them completely out of context to sound smart guy? These guys are so dumb they do not realize they are dumb!! We actually had a boss come out to describe a fatal accident about a former co-worker who retired and then wrapped it up by saying he should make a full recovery!
July 3, 201313 yr "Completely incompetent but has tenure" is the one I can't stand the most. No tenure where I work, which I think is good. Does anybody but teachers get tenure? I wonder how that got started?
July 3, 201313 yr No tenure where I work, which I think is good. Does anybody but teachers get tenure? I wonder how that got started? College professors. And some of those guys/gals absolutely should not have jobs. :lol2:
July 4, 201313 yr 2. Mr. Clueless Manager-This boss really has no clue what is going with his employees, or who is responsible for what. He is disorganized, stressed and panicked and flying by the seat of his pants. Therefore Mr. Blame Whatever/Whoever and Mr. Brown Nose are his #1 employees. Amen brother. Nothing as bad as a boss being hired simply because of who he knows. Especially in a professional field he had no experience in at all!!! We are experiencing this at my place of work and after 6 years of him being there he is still as clueless as his first day on the job.
July 4, 201313 yr Mr Inappropriate. Even worse when he is in charge. True example: The boss is on the job only 2 days when he tells a female employee who is pregnant, "you don't look as fat today" meaning it as a compliment.
