The characters in this show have issues! I'll keep watching.

They're just butchering the book so far. I expected some changes since the intent is to make it a multi-season show and not a mini-series but I'm not sure I like the direction that they're going with some of the characters.

This and the Dark Tower series are the only SK novels I've read. Def different than the book.

I thought the opening show was pretty good. Definitely kept my interest and wanting to see more.

I liked the cow sliced in half by the dome! Nice touch.

I DVRed it last night. Hope to get to it soon.

Same here. I've been looking forward to this all summer. Hope it meets expectations.

Me three, I'm off for 6 days after tomorrow so I am planning on lot's of movie/tv watching after lot's of pool/golf.

Should there have had a "Viewer discretion is advised" message at the beginning of the show? I know it aired at 10pm (as opposed to 8pm), but the sex scene and the violence when the dome came down seemed a bit explicit for traditional network TV if there was no warning. I know that stuff is normal for cable.

Started watching last night as well. Set up a series recording on my DVR. Pretty interesting so far. Although that one guy is a total creeper...

I started watching this show too, and I will keep watching, but IMO the show introduces this crazy knife wielding boyfriend way to early for me. It was like an episode of Desperate Housewives was gonna start...I mean we already got a girl locked up in a bomb shelter, C'mon!

I watched it tonight. Interesting. For those that have read the book, how close is the start with the book?

Pretty much only the dome dropping and the sheriff's pacemaker exploding are close--and even the dome dropping is different. In the book people standing near the dome can talk to each other just fine. It also doesn't cut off radio, television or cellphone communications. It is a permeable membrane, outside air and water sorta seep in--not a regular flow but a seep.

So it's like a Brita filter?

Just finished the pilot. I liked it. Ratings were pretty good too--13.5 million viewers.
