On the other side, it will be between Caldwell,Owensboro Catholic, or Murray. If NewCath gets past Somerset, they only have to play one of those three. However, Caldwell is the most talented of all of the teams, so to win that game is more daunting for any of the other state champs (once they make it to the finals).

Don't overlook Glasgow. They return 9 starters on both sides of the ball. They will definitely have a say in who represents the West this year.

Good point. They had a good season last year. Luckily, NewCath can only face one of those 4 if they can get past Somerset.

I think Bowling Green will have a very difficult road this year. Besides the usual Christian County and Warren Central matchups in the playoffs, the boys from the E-Town/Radcliff area are chomping at the bit for another shot at BG. In fact, that's all they have been talking about this summer. Hope we get to see it.

Last year was John Hardin's best chance to beat the Purples. BG only lost 6 starters off that team. Plus, the game would be in Bowling Green. It would be a huge upset, but if anybody could do it, John Hardin has the best chance.

I thought it was only 4 starters. Well, almost everyone that was key returns regardless.

BG might have to go through some good teams to do it, but they'll enter alongside Highlands as probably the largest favorite to win any class simply because of the quality of their team.

Those nambie pambie Bluebirds won't make it out of the region!

That's the plan, anyway.

That's funny. I worry about HHS every year especially when you don't hear about too many standouts in key positions. It is then that the unknown become stars. No matter what the Birds' offense does, you'll have to get through Seth Hope. He will be key on D line and if Hoge plays DB, it will make their pass defense pretty solid adding to the crew they already have. I can't wait to see them on the new Jumbotron!
