June 25, 201313 yr What's the downside to taking Anthony Bennett #1 assuming you can't trade out of it? He's extremely out of shape right now which is hurting him a bit.
June 25, 201313 yr He's extremely out of shape right now which is hurting him a bit. And he's the ultimate tweener. Has good offensive game and can go inside/outside but will have to play the 4. No defensive game and questionable work ethic. May have some success but may be the next Brandon Bass or Trevor Booker. Lot of risk for #1 overall, not sure if I would take him in the top 5, definitely not until after the top 3.
June 26, 201313 yr Is the draft on TV anywhere? Found this article on all the pre-draft and draft coverage. ESPN to Televise 2013 NBA Draft « ESPN MediaZone
June 26, 201313 yr Crossing my fingers the Murray State's Isiah Canaan is drafted. I have seen he could go from anywhere in the mid-first round on. I am thinking early second. He would be the first Racer drafted since 1996, I believe. Marcus Brown was drafted by Portland in the second round. He saw limited action in the NBA before going on to an extremely impressive career in Europe. He has been one of the top Euroleague players for over a decade. James Singleton from Murray State has bounced around the NBA the past 10 years or so as a role player. He actually averaged 8 pts and 6 rebs last season for the Wizards in 12 games. He is now in China.
June 26, 201313 yr Apparently Shabazz is sliding fast in the draft. Teams with picks in the 20's are hearing that he'll be available. Chad Ford just talked about this on ESPN.

I think he is one of the players that can come in immediately and make an impact since he is in his late 20s. But I am not seeing much of an impact and not a long career for Shabazz. Same story for most guys drafted this season.

Definitely no all-stars, but I think a lot of these guys will be in the league for many years to come. I even see a lot of the guys in the second round sticking around for a while. No real star power to speak of, but a ton of rotation players.

June 26, 201313 yr Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 3m Rival executives, more & more, list Houston as favorite in Dwight Sweepstakes ahead of Lakers. Trading T-Rob means Rockets can offer D12 max
June 26, 201313 yr Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 4m Thomas Robinson to Cavs for No. 19 pick. Thomas Robinson to Bulls for No. 20. Word is both of those scenarios are on table for Rockets Obviously they would go for #19 in that scenario, then likely move that pick for something else that isn't going to being back salary.
June 26, 201313 yr I think he is one of the players that can come in immediately and make an impact since he is in his late 20s. Nice. :lol2:

June 26, 201313 yr Obviously they would go for #19 in that scenario, then likely move that pick for something else that isn't going to being back salary. They will just draft a foreign player and keep him overseas.
June 26, 201313 yr Ya know, checking Twitter I see a lot of opinion on Nerlens. Some is positive and some is not so positive but what gets me is that one Basketball person says that Nerlens is overvalued and may be a reach. That person is getting hammered over that. My thing is, couldn't Nerlens be a reach? I mean what productivity has he honestly shown? It'sostlu potential based and he very well could end up being a bad #1 pick, similar to Kwame Brown. Now he may prove me wrong but just because I like UK doesn't mean I'm gonna have blinders, like most, and turn away from the fact that Nerlens is a work in progress to be NBA ready IMO. It's just funny to see people getting blasted for having legit points. Now if Nerlens had went to GT or somewhere else I'm sure most BBN fans would have a different opinion.
June 26, 201313 yr David Aldridge @daldridgetnt1m Hearing Denver's 1st-rounder (27th overall) is available 4 teams looking to buy their way into the first or others looking for extra picks.
