Okay, work with me here: What team hit the most HR's in one season between their top 5 HR hitters....when the 5th guy had at least 20 bombs. Hints: they had 178 homers between the top 5 guys and the lowest total of that bunch was 23. More hints: it wasn't the 2000 Blue Jays, they are 2nd with 169 (Delgado with 41, Batista with 41, Fullmer with 32, Jose Cruz with 31, and Raul Mondesi with 24).

Have fun.

Dont have a year, but I'll guess one of the Braves teams from the 70's with Davey Johnson, Darrel Evans, Hank Aaron, Dusty Baker, and Mike Lum?

Was it one of the 1970's Dodgers teams? I know they had a team with 4 30 homer guys but I'm not sure how many their 5th player hit.

That was my first thought.

I'll try one:

What player homered four times in one game against the Reds in the second game of a doubleheader?

(part 2) What player scored ahead of the above hitter in all four of the homers?

(part 3) Whose record of 13 RBI's in a doubleheader was tied?

Mark Whitten is the answer to part 1. Not sure on part 2 or 3.

Much more recent.

That was my guess also...I thought they had 5 hit 20 also.

How about the Braves from about 74?

This is the team I was referring to.

......

Many teams have had 5 guys with 20+, looking for the team with the most bombs ever from those 5. We / you have narrowed it down to the mid 90's.

Jr's Mariners the year he hit 56! One of his best seasons!!!

1997 Actually had 6 guys with 20 bombs or more!!!

Jr 58

Buhner 40

Sorrento 31

Edgar 28

A-Rod 23

Russ Davis 20

Several have had 6 hit 20, but those top 5 are the most prolific quintet ever. Although I have Junior with 56, not 58.
