Several have had 6 hit 20, but those top 5 are the most prolific quintet ever. Although I have Junior with 56, not 58.
Your right, typo...soon as you said mid 90's they were the first team I thought of.

I'm going to have to say that you two are wrong on this one. The 1997 Colorado Rockies looked like this:

Andres Galarraga 41

Vinny Castilla 40

Dante Bichette 26

Larry Walker 49

Ellis Burks 32

If my math is correct that adds up to 188 homers.

Your math is correct -- not sure why the answer was wrong. Great call AJG!

Good Catch...I was thinking all guys hitting over 20 which was 198 not just the top 5 until Ment pointed it out.

I've got one that I heard tonight. There are 3 active players that have more bases on balls than strike outs for their career. (They have to have at least 400 bases on balls) Name them.

I'd guess Albert and Cabrera right off

Albert Pujols is correct: 1092 BBs, 874 Ks.

Miguel Cabrera is not: 834 BBs, 1257 Ks.

Since your asking I'm guessing there is a Red Sox player on the list

I thought of one and looked it up Mauer...I'd have never guessed the third but I was close :)

Joe Mauer has 650 BBs and 628 Ks--but with 64 Ks and 34 BBs this season he might not be on this list by the end of the year.

Albert Pujols is correct: 1092 BBs, 874 Ks.

That is pretty amazing for a power hitter.

When not injured he's one of the purest hitters in the history of the game.

He's on track for 3000 hits (needs 555) and 600 Hrs (needs 78) and a shot at 2000 RBI (needs 440), that will put him in some rare company.

Got to see most of it with the Cardinals.

Victor Martinez

I don't think Todd Helton is active anymore...

I'm sorry I under estimated it when I said "Rare Company"...it would be in a very small exclusive club of two if he makes it. Only one player in HISTORY has over 3000 hits, over 600 HRs and over 2000 RBI's...the most under appreciated player in Baseball History...Hank Aaron!
