For those of you who think it is okay, what if a teacher and student have a consenting relationship and the student then receives an A+ in the class without doing any work, is that fair to the 30 students not having sex with the teacher who do the work but don't earn an A+?

Sarah Jones is the one who brought the media attention upon herself she filed a law suit about her character being defamed and then she cheated on her husband with a high school student. In my opinion while she was worried about her character she shouldn't have been molesting a student.

 

I do not feel sorry for Sarah Jones being in the media she and her mother went to the media and called a high school girl a liar for reporting the actions Sarah to me that makes you an awful human being.

 

I think if you google the lawsuit/defamation Sarah Jones was in the right on what was printed about her and that is a separate issue from her relationship with the student.

 

I am certainly not excusing Jones' behavior, it was wrong according to the law and wrong in my personal opinion. However, she has been beat up for it for a long time, paid her debt to society, and I think it is time for everyone to move on.

 

Engagement and marriage should be nothing but happy times for any couple.

Guru i hope they have a long marriage but I will never sorry for her getting negative attention like she tried to bring on a high school girl for her wrong doing. When she said these are rumors started by a jealous ex girlfriend she knew that wasn't true and deserves all the negative attention she gets because of that

If I'm not mistaken he was in her freshman English class, they didn't start sleeping together until he was 17, and he was no longer in her class. Could she have given him special treatment before they started sleeping together? Sure, but it wouldn't have been because they were involved (because at that time they weren't). And honestly, students are given special treatment from various teachers ALL THE TIME.

So it's basically impossible to prove he got whatever grade he got based soley on his class work etc. You can't prove it either way. Just because both wanted to do the matress mombo doesn't mean she didn't give him preferential treatment in any way.

As UKMF said, many students get preferential treatment for various reasons. The star athlete. A straight A student that forgot to do an assignment. Me on occasion. Mostly likely some of you on occasion. It happens.

what she did was fine , long as it was with someone else's child .
