This thread seems to be lacking something...

Looking through rosé color glasses with the SK logo on each lense?

Yep. just not the same.

Its not worth all the negative blow back the program gets in return.

Dylan Powell ran a 4.38 40 today at the EKU Agility Camp.

Sorry if there are some doubters. If he ran that I am expecting a line of D1 schools knocking down his door.

Here's an interesting take on all the crazy fast 40 times that get reported in high school. Turns out almost all these guys get slower in college.

Comparing NFL and high school 40-yard dash times: A horrifying revelation - SBNation.com

agreed rjs, I have worked several combines at the local and national level for youth timings and its amazing to see the differences. At some of these places, I think I can run a 4.9 40, lol.

This does not sound like this was a high school measured 40, but an EKU measured 40. Electronic measurements are faster than manual measurents. And yes, Dylan is that fast.

I'll put it this way, I say Chad Johnson run the 40. He did not run a 4.38.

Yes he is fast. But that time would make him faster than Ryan Timmons from Franklin County. I've seen them both play multiple times, and no way Powell beats Timmons in a footrace at any distance.

The fastest time at the Army All American Combine this past Jan. was 4.56

Powell finished 8th at the Regional track meet last year with an 11.89 in the 100 m dash. Four of the guys that finished ahead of him are back this season for their teams so he has fair speed, but I would say he is not blazing.

This thread is beggining to look like the thread on Ryle kid. Again, not bashing the kid, but the adult that is reporting it. There is not way, and I mean no way, this kid is a legit sub 4.4. As many have said that means he is in top echelon of top players in NFL. Its a shame adults post stuff like this. Do your research and understand the stuff you are posting.

I posted it so shame on me. Exactly what would you like me to understand and what would you like me to research? If the times are so inaccurate then why do we have them in the first place? It is a gauge of speed and nothing else. I think there is other material on BGP that I feel your time would be better spent bashing.
