June 1, 201313 yr With so much college baseball on TV now days, I am a little shock with no talk about the world series on here. Louisville is in the tourney and they won their first game. They are winning their second game, right now against Miami, Fla. score 2-1 The brightest thing in the tourney so far is the Gators have already been eliminated after two games.
June 2, 201313 yr The brightest thing in the tourney so far is the Gators have already been eliminated after two games.:ylsuper: Louisville ended up beating the Canes 6-4 to advance to the final round. Miami plays Oklahoma State tomorrow at Noon, the winner of that game to take on UofL at 4 pm. Should the Cards lose that game the rubber match will be 7 Monday night.
June 2, 201313 yr I'm liking South Carolina's play again this year. I really follow SEC baseball, usually LSU. ARK, Vandy still playing. FLA and MIami both eliminated. IND and L'ville advanced. Good games. My bucket list : College World Series finals.
June 2, 201313 yr Alabama, up 8-5 going into the bottom of the 9th, sends in a freshman closer and apparently left it all in his hands. He gives up a 4 runs including a walk off walk and Troy will play FSU in the region final. Wow!
June 2, 201313 yr I love this Bases Loaded program on ESPN3. It's like watching Red Zone only for college baseball.

June 3, 201313 yr So far the following teams are in the super regional: Virginia Oregon St. Fullerton UCLA Louisville Kansas St. NC State Florida St. LSU Indiana Oklahoma
June 3, 201313 yr North Carolina and Vandy both facing elimination games today. Interesting also that right now the SEC has only 1 team in the final sixteen. Although Miss St., South Carolina and Vandy are all still playing in their respective regionals, the SEC has not dominated as much as I thought they might.

That coupled with the fact that I am an accomplished Gator Hater in every sport from way back thrills me that they are out. I also agree on the lack of talk on college baseball - regionals and the super regionals coming up this weekend as well as the CWS in a couple of weeks. I am as guilty as anyone, for some reason I just don't think about it a lot of times when I'm logged on. I love college baseball and as every year and looking forward to the super's and the CWS. :thumb:

I thought they would do much better as well but imo that's baseball. I think that baseball is the college sport that is most suspect to upsets. Usually in football the better team will win. Basketball has upsets but when thinking of the overall season not really that many. Baseball an error, walk here and there cost a team more than a mistake in other sports does, jmo. At any rate I am really looking forward to the CWS, that tournament is very well organized and Omaha does an unbelievable job in hosting every year. The CWS is another event that I would love to go to sometime.
