They had some success at the King James going to the final four of the gold bracket and have won two tournaments. They are a team with good parts. 15U is exciting statewide it sounds like...strong class for Kentucky.

Looks like there was a bit of an upset tonight. Louisville Spartans upset 859 Nuggets. Spartans will face Manimal at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow in the quartefinals.

Team Manimal was flat out impressive tonight if you ask me. They look like a well-organized high school team in February. They have talent but aren't overly talented. But man do they play like a solid team. I'm very impressed with what Maze has done with his kids.

 

Kenneth Faried was impressed with what he saw tonight, as well.

 

 

I was thinking the same thing they remind me of a Duke team...But the play really well together and had some nice athletes and appear to by into what the coaches are selling..

They have several really impressive players, IMO. Learn the names Perry Ayers and Mason Faulkner. Those kids can flat out play. They also have Tyler Sharpe who seems to shoot about 80% from the 3-point line. They have all the ingredients, a lot of energy and an actual college coaching staff on the bench. And it shows on the court.

 

There has been a lot of buzz going around the gym about Manimal. I've heard several comments about how nice their uniforms are, how much fun the kids are having, how they all huddle after every play and help each other off the court, how they have an NBA player sitting on the bench, etc. etc. I look for the Manimal program to explode in the future. They are doing things the right way.

TBC beats Magic by 5 and take on Heat in semis.

I think the 4 teams in the Final 4 are the 4 that deserve to be there most. All 4 teams have been the top 4 talked about teams in the state with the exception of the Louisville Magic but as stated before, that is a program that might not be around much longer because the talent and coaching is just not there.
