Oh, ok. So who is the third of the top 3 picks you are referring to? Manimal?

Thats just going with what has been said here. I have no idea myself. If what I'm hearing the new Ky Elite should be very good.

Besides the two that left Manimal who else they have?

Who are the NKY Legends? I haven't heard of them.

They have the following kids that I know of:

Brennon Englemon- Holmes

Camryn Snapp- Augusta

Blake Donovan (Boone), Steffan Green (Holmes), and Markel McClendon (Holmes) will all be with KY Players.

Ive seen the NKY Bulldogs play, they are entertaining to say the least. They have one dark haired kid, I do not know his name, that is a ball hawk and fun to watch. The kid has stupid range, you will enjoy watching him play. The also have a kid with a non-stop motor, very well put together team.

I'm assuming 16s here...

I haven't seen anyone on this team with "stupid" range. The Schreck and Jackson kids can score from anyone when firing on all cylinders. I'm assuming the motor is Mullins of SK, maybe Hedger of Dixie.

I have been told that this team added some guys due to injury... Correct?

I can tell you for fact there isn't anyone on this team with "stupid" range. But, Austin Schreck and DeOndre Jackson were overlooked last season and this summer they are playing like they want to make a name for themselves. Both have done very well! Schreck averaging 12/5/4 and Jackson averaging 17/3 asst.

Hedger and Mullins both have high motors. Rebounding machines, and really clean it up under the basket. both also have solid midrange games. Both are a little dinged up, but will play this weekend at state. Tough kids!

Because of injury, NKyB 16s have added Matt Shumate of CCH and Sean Ross of Pulaski County for the summer. Both good kids and real solid hoopers.

Given their recent performance at King James, I would put TBC Elite on my top 3 list of 15s.

TBC is going to be a tough out in the 15's and the KY Heat will be tough as well. The NKY Bulldog's U15 group is coming off of a solid weekend in Bloomington and should be pretty tough with their roster back in tact. 24 teams is a great turnout. Is there that much talent at the U15 level this year or is it just spread out over a lot of teams?

Don't know about that much talent to spread across 24 teams, but I am anxious to see. Keep in mind that 9th grade is the first year that D1 is the only option at state - Teams can no longer avoid the better competition by playing D2. I can say I'm familiar with several of the "household name" programs and, yes, there is a lot of talent in the 15U age group. The programs I'm referring to go 5-7 deep with kids that have a realistic shot of having their college educations paid for (at varying levels -NAIA, D2, or D1).

The actual Manimal will be there tonight.

I saw where the Louisville Magic 16s lost to Next Level Retros.

The Magic 15s are playing Team Manimal as I type.

Manimal up 1 at half when I left.

NKyB takes one on the chin tonight. Tough night after having 3 weeks off because of injuries... Rusty. Shot 9/27 from the FT line, which is very uncharacteristic, and passed up a lot of open looks. That being said, the NKyB lost by 2 to Derby City Elite, who was very athletic and gritty. Had 2 players that really stuck out (1, 12).

For the Dogs, Dre Jackson finished with 15/4ast, Matt Mullins and Andrew Hedger each had 9pts and close to double digit boards. The 2 new additions also played well... Sean Ross and Matt Shumate added 9/pts a piece as well.

Team Manimal beats Louisville Magic by almost 20.

Hats off to Manimal! I'm sure that losing those 2 players hurt the Magic, but, after seeing the Magic play, they probably werent the best fit for that team's style anyway.

IMO the Magic had better talent. However, Manimal played very unselfishly and intelligently - things that aren't that common for AAU teams. They appeared very disciplined. That is a credit to their coaches - as well as to the kids for being unselfish and putting winning first. Job well done.
