The machine that is the Greenwood Lady Gators

Penny Reece's gang is currently 27-0 and has given up 11 runs on the season...ELEVEN!

Their last 9 games, they have outscored opponents 125-2!

Can they run the table?

The machine seems to be running on all cylinders!

Sounds like they are great. I would love to be on a good team but I am not sure how much fun it would be to be beating teams the way they are.

Man that is incredible!!! There has to be a lot of discipline and focus to do that day in and out.

No surprise here, as I have had the pleasure watching five of their players up close on a daily basis during the summer. Nobody in the state puts as much spin on her pitches as Elizabeth Moss, her change up looks like it is coming in on a yo-yo string. Catcher Aeron Smith has verbaled to UT-Martin, and is possibly the best catcher in the state. Greenwood has four D1 caliber players.

As of today they are 29-0, have outscored their opponents 288-12, recorded 19 shutouts, 8 teams have managed to score 1 run, and two teams have amassed a whopping 2-runs. One word.....AMAZING!!!!!

They don't want to come up here and get their feelings hurt. :lol2:

Greenwood is currently ranked #21 in the nation according to MaxPreps.

Congrats to them. :ylsuper:

Yowza yowza Captain Mauser!

Playing on a team that dominant gets boring as heck . It actually makes for a long year. Totally different circumstances but our school is very very tiny .. 110-125 kids in grades 9-12. We are D4 in Ohio. Play in a small school conference with 6 other teams . All 6 other teams are gosh awful . Our stats against them are similiar to what Greenwood is doing to their opponents . And it stinks. Who wants to play a game where you know its going to be a 5 inning affair and you dont have to bring your A or even B game ? In our case the competition stinks , is Greenwood playing good comp ? League games that have to be scheduled ?

proud of our bunch , we have two that D-1 caliber , about 4-5 that fall into category of college players at a lower level . Ranked 3-4th in D4 in ohio. Not bad for a school that has 45-55 total girls .
