Or since they didn't go there obviously they are inferior players to the rest of their great recruits...

If UK were in the Big 10 they would be very competitive with these types of classes and on a Michigan State level.

They're getting some top Ohio talent.

Still won a national championship with those OH guys... Come on JA, maybe those OH guys that didn't pan out are because they played in the BIG. Conference/coaching makes players better not where they come from.

Tressel didn't have success? I have to assume by your post that he did not by your standards. I will judge by his former players carrying him off the field at the M game this past season. That's all I need to know about Tressel. Players know what kind of man they are fighting for.

June 12, 201313 yr Look, Stoops is doing a great job, cant deny that. I said if he wanted, he could really damage the Michigan States and Wisconsins of the B1G, and that is exactly what he is doing. That said, and what JA is saying, is that for years now all we have heard is that the B1G, and midwestern players in general, is inferior to the SEC, slow and not physical enough. That is directed at the top programs, generally OSU, Michigan, and Wisky. OSU and Michigan, per the Media and everywhere else, would be mid level at best SEC teams. Now Stoops is coming in and getting players that to this point dont warrant offers from those two, and he is somehow going to compete in the best conference in America? Simply doesnt add up, cant have it both ways. Recruiting a Mich St roster can lead to success when you play Indiana, Iowa, and Purdue. Not so convinced it can work in the SEC. I hope I'm wrong, I really do.

I think we can all agree that the state of Ohio is one of the best at producing talent. Where Kentucky geographicly sits, to only come away with 1-2 Ohio players is a tragedy. UK should be able to go into Ohio and sell the SEC brand and be able to pluck 6-8 Ohio guys per class. I'm just really excited that door is finally open!

But I think they'd be better off selling it to the 1-3 guys who are SEC athletes. I'm in Ohio and haven't seen Bama, UF, Georgia, LSU, Vandy, Ole Miss camping state wide coincidence or not?
