May 1, 201313 yr Reds aren't exactly blowing away the division, so you have to go with Cingrani as long as you can. As far as Arroyo goes, I love him. But this "most wins in the NL since '96" jazz means nothing when the facts are he can only get through two turns of the lineup before he starts getting shelled. He needs to be a long reliever. Most wins since 96 don't mean a thing? Now that's just stupid Jim.

May 1, 201313 yr I lean towards that being interesting but meaningless when talking about this particular season. Why is it meaningless? He's one of your top 4 pitchers. No way you move him to a middle relief role. Even Dusty knows better than that.
May 1, 201313 yr I would think Greg Maddux would have more wins in the NL since 96... Active pitchers.
May 1, 201313 yr So the Cingrani debate has moved to Arroyo getting the demotion? :lol2: Wait. :lol2: :lol2: Hold on. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: Seriously. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: You can't make this stuff up...

Well basically it's the guy who had a gangrene penis go to his brain, and another guy who drank or burned up all his brain cells making a case for it. You'll have to overlook them. :lol2:

Doesn't change the fact that the third time through the lineup he's getting rocked. That tightrope can only be walked for so long, and Bronson's not getting any younger.

That third time through the order usually comes in inning five or six.
May 1, 201313 yr And there you have it. That third time through the order usually comes in inning five or six. So you are basing the argument on a 5 game stretch? If he gives me 6 innings of 2-3 run baseball, I'll be pretty happy. With this Bullpen the Reds are going to win a lot of those games.

With this Bullpen the Reds are going to win a lot of those games. I'm happy if he can do that too. But my concern is that it's getting to where he can't anymore. When he blows up, he blows up big. I love him to death, but he frightens me the way he lulls you to sleep by mowing them down for the first few innings, then all of a sudden, poof! It's gone.
