September 25, 201312 yr That is what I heard from a BOE source as well. I had heard his mother would not let him play youth ball and that he put on cleats for the first time as a Freshman. Any info on what BCPWYFL teams he played for?? No, that's not true at all. Actually it was his older brother and cousin that talked him into playing football and it was in the boone county pee wee league. Actually Cooper's coach had all their players this year listen to his book on cd's and part of his book is about his pee wee days. He wasn't interested at all in playing football but his brother and cousin kept hassling him to play so he did and in his first game scored a couple TD's.
September 25, 201312 yr Seems like Alexander has made several attempts to help support the community. Never met him but he seems like a great guy. Super nice guy and Football was never the most important thing in his life. His religous beliefs have been his #1 priority. It's a pretty neat story about when he met his wife who is also very spriritual, she saved herself for marriage, and also would not kiss a guy until she was married, so the first time Shaun got to kiss her was at their wedding. Pretty neat, shows true love.

September 30, 201312 yr Last name is Atkins I believe.. Probably Ricky Atkins' boy...Ricky was a stud pitcher at Newport back in the early 80's. Wilson Bibb is the big boy for the Tigers who is huge for his age.
October 1, 201312 yr On Wednesday, October 2nd, at 6:00pm, there is going to be a meeting at the HHS Performing Arts Center concerning youth football and USA Football’s Heads Up program. This program was designed to teach the proper fundamentals of football to our children to ensure their safety and enhance their performance. Merril Hoge, a former NFL player and long time supporter of the Fort Thomas Junior Football League, will give the presentation. He is one of the initial members of the Heads Up program and will speak for approximately one hour on the benefits of the program. One of the primary goals of the program is to get the parents involved in the process. Literature will be provided to the parents that highlights the main areas of the Heads Up program. If you have any concerns with your young ones playing youth/high school football this presentation will greatly benefit any questions you might have. I highly recommend spending this 1hr to listen and learn what this program has to offer.
