June 14, 201313 yr I'm not sure what you disagree about. I didn't say that that all the games in the NKYFL were competetive in fact my point was quiet the oppisite. Lots of orginizations didn't field teams in certian age brackets. My point is more aimed toward the fact that there are not enough kids for all these new organizations. IMO Boone Pee Wee does a good job with the kids in Boone. Cooper, Ryle, and Walton want their own feeder system, and that will take the league a couple of years to fix. Cov. Cath. youth football takes 100 plus kids from the 5th & 6th grades that would have otherwise played for the kenton county teams. The Jr. High league has also torn into the numbers for the NKYFL Sr. division. So one point is that there are not a whole bunch of kids waiting for a new league because they don't like the ones out there now (though there may be a few Daddy Ballers out there that are unhappy if their kids aren't the feature player). Every kid in No. Ky. can find a team. I also agree with every kid should get a CHANCE to learn the game and then an opportunity to play the game. I've had the misfortune to be a coach where the powers that were decided that to insure that all players got to play, we would have small teams(13 players), About half were experienced, all got to/had to play. They scheduled competive teams with 25players. By the end of these games about half these kids were beat up and crying. The next year just over half came back to play football. I wish the best for all these kids that want to play my favorite sport, but also hope that all these coaches and daddys don't go throwing these kids on the field just so they can say he got in the game.

August 18, 201313 yr All the South Kenton teams have some good players. The starter team needs to practice more though. Peewees got a nice win with out their starting QB.

You realize their is a South Kenton Senior team, Summit View Middle School team and a Twenhofel Middle School team. The SK freshman team will be very good.
