When it comes to talk radio, I think we need to keep in mind that it is "profit-driven entertainment" for the most part. Those shows won't stay on the air without advertisers. Advertisers need to know who the market is and those shows give them a ready-made market. They almost have to be far left or far right. So that leads to outlandish statements and over-the-top pronunciations by the hosts while creating a general distaste and sometimes hate from the opposite side.

First of all if he or she had contacted the victims family it would be on the news, if for anything a PR stunt. But I would hope and think it would be sincire.

 

Fairness, you have yet to explain how Obama gets or does fairness. Is it fair to go on air for Trayvon and girl shot and not for the 8yr old? Please explain your answer to that question.

Ref ... if Presidents did what you want, the only choice would be to never recognize anyone. There is no way a President can "be fair" in who they recognize and/or reach out to. It is just impossible. So if they are called unfair when they do choose to reach out, then the only alternative if they have to reach out to all to "be fair", is to never reach out.

Did the Obamas make a phone call to Trayvon's parents? I don't remember that. I remember Obama addressing his death, yes, but not calling. He also did it a month later.

 

Pendleton ("the girl shot in Chicago") was from their home town, where their children were raised until 2008, so I think there's a feeling of connection there that has nothing to do with race. She performed at the inauguration. She was shot in Hyde Park, for crying out loud. That's was their neighborhood.

 

If Obama never addresses ("the 8yr old") Martin Richard's family and their loss, I would be surprised. I have no problem with giving the family some space to process the violent death of a young child. I think Obama also has a lot to do right now, considering there was an attack on a major American city and iconic sporting event. Finally, the death of a child is tragic, but this was an event where two others lost their lives and dozens of others lost their legs. Maybe concentrating on one victim wouldn't be appropriate.

 

So let's check back in a month and see if he's said anything.

What was a tragedy in all honesty. Any death is a tragedy, especially kids but lets look at it like this.

 

Does stuff like Trayvon happen all the time, yes. Obama acknowledeged it.

 

Do kids get killed in drive bys all the time, yes. MOB went to funeral

 

Do people blow up bombs and kill people at Boston Marathon all the time. No. No news from Obama camp about reaching out personally to victims.

Did you read my post? Trayvon Martin was killed on 2/26/2012. Obama addressed his death for the first time on 3/23/2012. That's a month later. I bet he publicly offers condolences to Martin Richard's parents and the other victims in Boston a great deal sooner than that. Want to take me up on that? So Obama addressed Trayvons death before Trayvon was killed. Wow he must be the Messiah to know the future. No wonder so many believe in him.

Im sure he will off condolences to all the victims today at his interfaith ceremony today at Boston. As he should.

Fairness has become a throw away word used by libs to push their class warfare agenda.

 

Just like the word racist it has been used so much that now real examples of unfairness are lost behind made up examples by people pushing an agenda.
