I'm a huge 14th region fan & will be rooting for lee against bishop brossart. Does anyone have any information on bishop brossart?? I'm sure this information may help lee & give everyone a little insight for this game.

You can do your research!! there are MANY MANY threads on Lee county but VERY FEW on Bishop Brossart. but i'll help you out & see how 10th region fans are??

 

lee starting lineup (not sure on #'s)

pg brandenburg 5'9 or '10, decent shooter & runs the team

sg liesegang 6'1 good shooter

sf fetter 6'1 leaper & shutdown defensive player

pf liesegang 6'1 good shooter

c rich 6'5 banger, rebounds & can be a force in the post

 

main 2 subs (that i know of???)

Taulbee guard not sure height-quick

Johnson forward/guard??? 6'1 or so-scrapper

 

This could be found in varies thread but some i got from listening & going to a few games. Not as much Brossart info on this site!!

I heard from a friend that Brossart scouted both friday nights games & saturday (not sure??). I do not know if Lee or buckhorn sent anyone to see brossart but normally small schools dont have the assistants/staffing to do this. Defense will be the tell in this game.

I don't know about Lee but Brossart will play defense if they don't do anything else.

I have watched Brossart play twice this year, and have not been that impressed. They are small, but very scrappy. They will play solid half court defense, but if Lee County has an inside game, I think they should win.

Generally agree, Brossart isn't big at all but plays hard. They have trouble scoring inside but play good defense. Don't know if Lee might press but BB has had diffiiculty with it this year.

Brossart's front line is of good size. They have 3 guys who are in the 6-5, to 6-6 range that play. Cooper is about 240 pounds I'm guessing.

Does Fetter ever have to play defense in the post area?

The Liesegang twins appear to be about 6'2 to me. The center Rich is either 6'4 or 6'5, but he has some bulk and has been a force all season. Fetters is 6'1, but he plays much bigger...he has a great vertical jump, very quick off the floor. Brandenburg is a good floor general, and I like the Johnson kid who comes off the bench. He could start for most 14th region teams.

Lee is a very good defensive team, and if they can control the pace of the game and hold down their turnovers, they have a chance. Hopefully they will continue the hot shooting they showed in the All A region.

 

The 14th has a good record in the All A state, winning it twice and finishing runner-up once.

Never once seen a thread on here about Lee Co., yet almost every day I can read up on Brossart. By the way who the heck is Lee Co.? At least Brossart has made the All "A" State the past 4 years now.

But really now, doesn't Brossart win the 10th region All A mostly through default. Other than Brossart, who else can seriously challenge for it?
