The 10th is presently somewhat down in "A" competition, but it took Brossart until 2001 to ever win our first one. Even though we had fine teams since 1997 they were defeated by other 10th Region competition until 2001. Previous to 1997 we played in the 9th Region "A" tournament without ever winning an "A" title, or ever playing in a championship game for that matter.

In recent years, 10th Region "A" Titles have come in bunches, but prior to 2001 they were non-existent.

 

In 2000 we actually won the big 10th Region tournament and went to Rupp, but failed to win the 10th Region "A" tournament that year, being upset by Nicholas County.

Generally agree, Brossart isn't big at all but plays hard. They have trouble scoring inside but play good defense. Don't know if Lee might press but BB has had diffiiculty with it this year.

 

Blowing Smoke??? I did find a roster and a few threads & "not bit at all" was not in it!!! 6'6, 6'5, 6'2, 5'10 & 5'11 are the starters & coming in with a 6'6!! pretty good size!! Not like U heights when they had victor & barnes but still FAR from SMALL!!

Professor was referring to the comment that brossart gets noticed since they have won 4 straight All "A" regionals. There arent many good "A" schools in the 10th, like many other regions. But like the 14th there are several regions were there is some quality teams & it means something to get out of the regional. Brossart does not feel this way & should win most games by more than 20 in there All "A" regional!!

So, as a 14th region fan I give you a good summary of the starting 5 & some bench players that play with there analogies. Then, instead of giving the same treatment, you are talking about 1997 & the move from the 9th. Others are talking about being a small team which Brossart is not. Be a man & give the same information that was given to "most brossart fans that do not know Lee." Lee's coaches probably know this information as brossart coaches should know what was posted here but this is for fans. Help lee's and the 14th out & give us a glimpse of what is Bishop Brossart?? Or do you want to keep playing games??

I did check the site out but i didnt find or look hard enough for the starting lineup & bench players. I found a roster but it did not supply starters, player tendencies or opinions that most posters have. This is a discussion board & i was hoping to discuss bishop brossart & lee as well.

I'm sorry that there wasn't a starting line-up or what-not, however there is a fan discussion board, along with summaries of past games, so I figured that would be enough, or I probably would have posted something for ya. Unfortunately I am away at college and won't be able to attend, however may the best team win.

Thanks!! i checked the discussion board out & it only had 1 post so not much help!! It really isnt a big deal. i just didnt know anything about brossart & was wondering. have seen lee & not brossart so hard to predict but hopefully it is a good game.

Sorry, I'm far from playing games and I certainly didn't mean "to be sarcastic" - your original post reqested info on Brossart. I think I took your initial post/copied it and substituted the words Lee County for Brossart. I don't know how that was construed as being sarcastic, but it was certainly not intended as such.

I've actually been a pretty busy guy and haven't been following the BGP jargon as well as I probably should.

I appreciate the info on Lee that you provided and hope that you have found everything that you need on the Mustangs.

My talk about the move to the 10th must have been on a different topic or in answer to another question (such as our "domination" of the 10th Region "A" scene).
