That's wow!

I did high jump, in years gone by. There were several guys that could vertical jump higher than me, but they could not out jump me in high jump. High jump is all about technique.

What about the picture with the kid shooting a floater, why didn't you start bringing up smart elic remarks about that one.....JV PLAYER.:thumb:

Maybe when I get a certain amount of post I can be just like you:laugh:

Ronald Cotton from Boone a few years ago could really get up!

6'11.75" is the state record and it is not held by Bray. He holds the small school record.

Cotton could Leap!!!!!!

Arez Henderson and Dwight Campbell where the best leapers that I recall seeing in Nky. Although I did see Darrell Griffith for Louisville Male play in the Newport Invitational back in the 70's. I know he's not Nky, but had to mention seeing Dr. Dunkenstein in HS. Wow!

His jump I think was 6'10.75 I believe, so just a little bit short of 10 feet...:D

HAHA!! My bad! I was thinking I heard 10.75...I thought that was REALLY good! I guess I forgot the 6' in front of it. ;)

I agree. Cotton was a leaper.

No you watch what you say! Next time post a video of the Kid doing a regular vertical jump test. Then tag it a say see how high he jumps. Don't post the weakest dunk contest you can find and say oh this kid can jump... then attack my post and say its not about dunking,.. get a grip

So you would be more impressed with an NFL combine style vertical jump test where an individual slaps plastic flags connected to a pole over a 5'9" kid standing flat footed under a 10' hoop dunking a regulation sized high school basketball? Really? Doesn't take much math to figure that is somewhere between a 35" to 38" vertical leap holding a basketball. He could probably get even higher without the weight of the ball.

Since this is a high school basketball thread I thought the thread starter was asking who the highest jumper playing high school basketball in NKY is at this time. I'm almost certain Matt Johnson is not be the best leaper ever in NKY and he may not even be the best leaper in NKY at this time but the young man can flat out get up. Me personally, I'm more impressed with high school kids dunking basketballs than slapping plastic flags. But hey, thats just me.

Dwight Campbell could flat out get up!

I still remember seeing my JV teammates shot pinned high against the board by Mr. Campbell.
