Who is the highest jumper in NKY?

Featured Replies

I would have to go with Schuler from St. Henry, Bray from Lloyd and Luther from Newport for the best jumpers in the last 15 years or so.

Arez Henerson Could jump higher and quicker and was shorter by 3inches to the 6'2 Luther Kid Bray and Schuler was at least 6'4.. Henderson was 5'11 maybe built like a running back

Okay Matt Johnson can jump. But until it done in game action Like Jessy Jet or Anthony Matrica it doesnt matter. Charles Sheffeild cound also get up with the best of them. Banard Evens of Holmes could jump as well as Dwight Campbell

Thread title doesn't say "Who is the highest jumper in NKY in game action". Just ask our opinions on who is the highest jumper and I think it is asking of those still in high school. Matt Johnson doesn't see a lot of varsity minutes but the kid can flat out leap and remember, he's only 5'9".

That makes the dunks in that video more impressive.

That pretty much sums it up for Bray IMO. I can't think of anyone I have seen recently in N. Ky. that comes close to Bray as a "jumper".

Add to that...Bray also set the state high jump record. I personally saw him at 6'3 jump over a 6'7 kid and dunk in a national dunk contest. And the 6'7 kid was in the middle of the paint and not standing under the basket. Amazing trick dunk...he ran away with first place in that contest.

I didn't say it said Highest Jumper in Game Action. It is a lot easier to Jump with little or no obstacles in the way or with a clear path. The Kids I Mention I have seen in game action dunking on some one face to face or going around some one using basketball skills to get to the rim before finishing above the rim. I am not questioning this kids leaping ability or his skill level weather he plays varsity or not, not at all, Okay Mr. Johnson can Dunk with the best of them in warm ups Ok. I too was impressed with the video I seen on NKY Fan that was uploaded earlier in the year.

Ok just watched the video, with all respect he has a nice vertical He can't dunk with the guys I named

So then you should of posted this after post #5 and again after you posted the video of these two young men dunking.. Pay attention I started talking about dunking after someone else.

THE THREAD IS NOT ABOUT DUNKING FOR PETE'S SAKE!!! It is who can jump the highest!

And he still cant jump higher than either so stop screaming and put your shirt on. Next time post a video of a vertical test instead of the boys dunking so I wont get confused you are the one who inserted video with a basketball and dunk in a rim

so don't get offended when someone else start talking about dunking

There was a shot of his vertical, the only reason I put it there captain! Watch what you say JV player!!!

I didn't even mention dunking with the video. Just trying to show you how high he gets!

No you watch what you say! Next time post a video of the Kid doing a regular vertical jump test. Then tag it a say see how high he jumps. Don't post the weakest dunk contest you can find and say oh this kid can jump... then attack my post and say its not about dunking,.. get a grip

Bray hands down, his One handed alley ooop dunk over Towels was a thing of beauty.

I was told he was high jumping 7 feet in college! Wow.

The kid can get up!

What about the picture with the kid shooting a floater, why didn't you start bringing up smart elic remarks about that one.....JV PLAYER.:thumb:

Watch the youtube of the 2010 dunk contest at Spiece Fieldhouse and you might reconsider that. Montgomery could leap.

I've seen Montgomery get up quite a bit. That kid could throw it down.

As for current players... Sophomore, Matt Isbel of Dixie can really get up.
