spindoc
For the record, I can't stand the guy. I remember him in college, OVERRATED. He's nothing more than a puppet that was built by the machine at ESPN and now he's running his worthless drivel on the set with the big boys. Figured it wouldn't take him long to insert foot. By the way, can't stand the guy. I wish that he was 1/3 as good as he remembered he was.
Clyde
I'm a fan of the guy. Good insight. Opinionated. Not dull.
LOOGY
Yep, not a fan. I'm glad he's off of ESPN because I don't have to see that everyday. Wish he'd just go away forever.

But he's not dull, you're right. Over the top, if you ask me.

I'd take him over someone like Barkley (who I like on NBA games) who says nothing of substance.

Wireman
I've laughed for 30 minutes at the awkwardness of that situation. he apparently thought he was on a Comdey Central roast
spindoc
I'd take him over someone like Barkley (who I like on NBA games) who says nothing of substance. Not me. Frankly, I thought Charles breakdown of the Marquette game was spot on. Anthony just practically shot down Gottlieb's "should have gone zone" idea. Again, we will no doubt disagree on this one. Over the top, if you ask me. I get the feeling Greg Anthony loathes being on the set with him. And who can blame him...
MentschTrachtGottLacht
I watched Gottlieb many times at Oklahoma St and I think he was a very good pass-first PG. I enjoy him, both on the radio and in-studio. I don't like him as a color analyst on games. Dumb line, to be sure.

I don't like him as a color analyst on games. Dumb line, to be sure. Steve Nash is a 50/40/90 type of player. Gottliieb was a 30/20/40 type of player. Perhaps the reason he was a pass first PG. I heard him bragging about him being 10th all time in assist, then bragged about how he was only three from Anthony for 7th all time. I'm sure Anthony got a kick out of that since Anthony also scored over 1700 points.

He was a good player. He did some dumb things and he is arrogant, on both issues I could not care less. I think he is entertaining.

Just posting the facts, he was a pass first PG due to the fact that he couldn't shoot to save his life. I bet you'd be hard pressed to find another PG in the history of hoops with such putrid shooting statistics across the board. I also don't mind listening to him even though I don't always agree with him.
