Anyone ready to fish?

Featured Replies

I'm heading out to a friends pond tomorrow. I can't wait.

Fishing Grayson Lake tomorrow. Gonna fish the skinniest water my tub can fit in. Thought about going to Yatesville, I like it better, but everyone from WV migrates across the state line to bombard that lake this time of year. Excited to try the new Rapala Scatter Rap. Same bait that idiot Iconelli won the classic with. If I hook one over 18" I'm gonna lay down on the front deck, straighten out the bill of my hat and scream like a banshee.

Best trip of my life was to Gunnersville Alabama, if you've never been there take my advice and try it.

Now THATs a good day!!!

Wish the weather would warm up. I have a couple of personal days saved to go fishing with my dad.

Pulled in 45 keeper Crappie yesterday:

Man...I've literally NEVER found a good crappie hole up here around NKY. I'm all ears if anyone has suggestions though, haha.

Looks like you guys found yourself a beauty of a spot though. Do some good eating?

Yep, fried a bunch up with tater tots, baked beans, cole slaw and cold beer!
Heading to Pickwick this Sunday (Easter). Will be there for a week fishing with Paul Rauch a former Duke Energy guy, and then be back w/o April 14th for a second week with Bill Hagedorn, my normal fishing partner.

Presently at Pickwick and the weather gods have been rough on us for the past three days. Cold - mid to low 50's, along with stiff winds, and intermittent rain have made for tough conditions. The good news is that even though we are fishing 52-53 degree water temps, the fishing has been good - lot of fish, unfortunately mostly 10-14 inch fish, but around 30 a day.

Biggest fish of the week for us is a 17inch largemouth, pictured. Have a good weather day planned for our final day on Friday. Will be back down in two weeks and I think the conditions should be more favorable.
