College job? I don't know what the rumors are, but in Kentucky there aren't many jobs better than CCH IMO. But this isn't the thread to discuss that.

 

Not sure about KY, but in NKY I would agree with this. I think the relatively few number of head coaches the school has had, are testimony to that. IMO the Ruthsatz's are happy with their children at Pius and Cov Cath, so hopefully he decides to hang at CCH for a long time. Only time will tell though I guess.

Andre McClendon informed me this morning that he has decided to stay at Holy Cross, despite having offers from a couple other schools to join their staff.

 

Andre is a very loyal guy and I have a lot of respect for him and his decision.

True about KY. Factor in the Louisville schools plus all those county schools where basketball is the number one sport and you get all the best athletes. I still would consider CCH one of the better jobs in the entire state.

Coach Schrand will be introduced to the HC community on Thursday night 4/25 at 8pm in the school cafeteria.

He coached JV and was well-liked. Ryan is a laid back cat. Never gets excited. I've never seen him yell at an official or a player.

 

It will be a bit different sliding over one chair though.

I saw him get on some of the grade school kids this past season pretty good. Was real surprised to see how intense he was with them. I did not remember him being that way at Cov Cath.
