March 11, 201313 yr I have saved every ticket stub since my first concert in 1980 (Ted Nugent, Krokus & Blackfoot at the Cincinnati Coliseum) to 2013 (Marilyn Manson at Bogarts in Cincinnati). I didn't have the benefit of having tickets stubs for seeing some well known, or up and coming national, or international acts that were held in smaller venues that sold at the door. Those smaller venue shows probably outnumber even the bigger venue shows that I've seen because once I started attending those, I found them to be more entertaining and gratifying at a lower price with the chance of meeting the artists before or after the show. I'll make an attempt at listing them and try to remember the best I can the shows that I don't have a stub for. Some I've forgotten who the warmups were. Ted Nugent, w/ Krokus, Blackfoot Foreiger (3 times - 1st w/ Billy Squier, 2nd w/ Joe Walsh, 3rd w/ Journey) Frank Zappa AC/DC (twice -2nd time with Fastway) Ozzy Osbourne (twice -2nd time with Motley Crue/Wasted) Shooting Star w/ Duke Jupiter Judas Priest (3 times 1st w/Uriah Heep, 3rd time Antrax) Iron Maiden (3 times - 1st w/ Quiet Riot, 2nd w/ Megadeth The Moody Blues (5 times) Genesis (twice Cincinnati & Lexington) Yes (3 times) Neil Young (twice - once w/ Tracy Chapman) Billy Squier (3 times - 2nd time with Ratt) Rush (twice - 1st time w/ Marillion) Stryper (twice) CJSS featuring David T. March 11, 201313 yr Can't list them all, but will last ones that have made an impression on me in some way or the other. Led Zepplin - First concert ever Doobie Brothers - Their first farewell tour lol (82) The Who - Concert where numerous people were trampled to death here in cincy(79) Bruce Springsteen - Best Concert I ever saw born in the usa tour phoenix az (85) Rollins Stones - Worst sounding (singing) live show ever been to but was still a blast (82 or 83) Paul McCartney - Best sounding (singing) concert saw him twice Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Last Concert I've seen (2012) Garth Brooks - great performer The Eagles - (2012) Oh Crap, almost forgot one of the best experinces at a concert: David Bowie- A couple local musicians in the early 90's toured with him, one of the guitarists I worked with (Adrian Belew)and when they played Giants Stadium a few of us flew to NYto see the concert, we got to eat dinner with Bowie bbefore the conert and had backstage passes, watched the concert from the side of the stage, was surreal. many others such as Van Halen, Buffet, BTO, Neil Diamond but those were the most memorable. March 11, 201313 yr Too many to remember. During summers in college I worked as a stage hand. I ran the spotlight, or worked on the sets for 2 summer's worth of concerts at Riverbend. Vividly remember Audio Slave as awesome and KISS as awful. I saw kiss a few times and loved them. I was a huge fan. I worked at a store that had a ticket master. For 3 years I saw petty much everyone that came around. I sat no worse than 7 rows back. I've seen Springsteen the most, probably 15 times. David Bowie was the best and the worse. He did a greatest hits tour, than refused to play his hits on later tours. Aerosmith wins the award for redemption show. First time was horrible (when they were stoned) last time I saw them guns and roses warmed them up and they were great. I once saw Alice Cooper and Neil Diamond on back to back nights.
