Can the big fellow get the orange?

MoCo played well without a big run for most of the second half when Prewitt went cold for most of the 3rd quarter. Chase Hall really stepped up and played well during the second half as did Wallace. Warren Central played very well and I was impressed with their two bigs down low. If they can find a starting backcourt next year Central should repeat in the 4th.

With Montgomery Co up 4 with ball and about 3-4 minutes left Warren Central took Green, Carver, Porter-Bunton and one more starter out. The Indians got a quick bucket followed by a steal-layup and it was pretty much over.

As a supporter of the Tribe, I was thrilled to see those guys out of the game in crunch time. If I was a Dragon fan, I would have been furious and/or flabbergasted by the decision.

I can only remember three plays where Hall brought the ball up for WC while Green was getting a breather, and all 3 times he got picked by Wallace and the Indians got layups.

Green, Carver and Porter Bunton were all great for the Dragons.

Prewitt showed why he is arguably Mr Basketball, and the rest of the Indians filled their roles well.

The Indians will have to finish inside much better tomorrow to have a shot against John Hardin.

And all coming back for Central. The Dragons are poised for a pretty good year next year. They lose six seniors, but only two starters and two guys that saw some time off the bench.

Just got in from Lexington. Obviously wish the end result was different, but all in all I was pleased. It wasn't the blowout a few predicted, but the game essentially played out how I expected. The Dragons were not expected to win, but it was a winnable game. They fought their way back in, but Montgomery County had the best player in the game, and he willed them to victory. Congrats to Montgomery County, good luck to them moving forward. Dragons built toward next year when I expect them and Bowling Green to compete for the trip to Rupp.

BTW, my God was Prewitt impressive.

The Indians are some big bad MoCo's

Purple pride? Where you at big boy? Eating your Crow sandwich with sweet baby rays?

I said the same thing to my buddy about those players being out of the game. It decided the game.

Why would he eat crow? He said neither team would dismantle the other and was correct. He was wrong about WC winning, but it was the competitive game he predicted.

Great win for MoCo. Talked to Omar's dad before and after the game, he was thrilled and rightfully so. Omars showing the rest of the state that hadn't seen him play why he is a Mr. Basketball finalists. Great game young man. Love the rebounds and blocks and the will of seeing your team would win.

I think he's smart to go there. Great school, and I bet he'll play sooner than if he tried to go bigger. Just my opinion.

I think he's a great get basketball wise for William and Mary, and it's a great school academically so he's getting plenty out of the deal as well. Seems like a pretty good fit.

Could he do better from a basketball standpoint, probably. He's better than Polson was in high school. But the total package you get at W&M or most any other Colonial League school is nothing to sneeze at.

He was all about WC. And how WC would win. He said it every other breath. Who cares if it was a close game? The outcome was not what he predicted. What are you, his daddy?

It's so weird how someone would be talking about Warren Central in the Warren Central/Montgomery County prediction thread. The crow comment came out when he said neither team would dismantle the other, and they didn't. Hence that was the prediction that matters, not that he picked WC to win by a paltry 3 points.

And I'm backing the guy who stood up for the team I support.

Dude, chill out. Montgomery Co won. It's over. Warren Central was a very tough test for MC. I'm glad we got out of there with a W. Time to take care of business against John Hardin now.
