When I first started to drink beer; I wasnt a huge fan but there were kegs at every party,

so it grew on me. I now love beer mostly with certain foods pizza, wings, etc.

 

Bourbon is more of an aquired taste I believe and I truely do enjoy a glass when it's cold

outside.

It boggles my mind that some people (of legal age of course) have never even tried alcohol. I can understand not liking to drink or not wanting to, but not ever trying it just seems odd to me. :idunno:

Now that I am older I like darker, more expensive beers and usually only drink for the taste and not for the buzz. Liquor on the other hand was definitely an acquired taste. I used to hate every hard liquor, but now my favorite drinks are 1800 tequila or captain and coke. I am disowned as a kentuckian though because I like whiskey way more than bourbon. I love makers and coke. Cannot drink it on the rocks though. Tequila is the only thing I like straight. I like wines taste too, preferably white zinf or merlot. I do like me some Boones farm too. Lol

Sure some alcohol tastes good. A cold beer tastes good. Bourbon, yes. Scotch, on the other hand, is not for the taste. Scotch is for those who have given up hope.

I did not try alcohol because it did not interest me. It is odd to me that people do try it. Even if I was interested, I wouldn't try it because I don't want to like it.

I believe Bourbon Whiskey can only be made in Kentucky, and entails a special process and storage in charred oak barrels. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Bourbon has to be 51% corn, aged in charred oak barrels, above 80 proof, and aged for two years (probably forgetting a couple but those are the main ones).

 

Unfortunately made in Kentucky is NOT a requirement. Though if I get elected President it's at the top of my list.

I was under the impression that it could net legally be called "Bourbon" unless it was a product of Kentucky.
