I just watched the press conference from yesterday's game... I have to admit, I really don't like the mention of the officials by Coach Mabry and the players.

Now let me clarify, they always mentioned "thats not why we lost" but there was always a 'but...'

I don't like that. Especially in a game like that... They definitely called it tighter in the 4th, but it was consistent. For them to say "we didn't get any of the calls" or "the calls didn't go our way" or "I felt like we should've been at the free throw line more"... I just don't like it. If you are going to go to the podium and say that in a high school game, it needs to be blatant...

Just my opinion...

I just watched it an hour or so ago and I agree

Big day for Coston with 23.

Englemon probably had 20 boards.

Not a great day for Bolden.

First time PRP has ever lost in the first round of the Sweet 16.

Wow. Wouldn't have guessed that one. When I saw this I wondered if PRP might have been a newer school, but they've been a school since 1958. I think it's kind of incredible given the balance of traditional powers in the Louisville area was more weighted toward the 7th. Most years, you could count on PRP and Fairdale fighting it out to get to state out of the 6th, but past that, there weren't many consistent challengers, so there has definitely been plenty of opportunities for them to get there and get a bad draw and/or get upset in the first round.

TOG: You are obviously being victimized by someone with an agenda. Call him a racist or anti-racist or whatever, he is obviously way over the top in putting your comments under a microscope and making a major issue of it.

Your comments were innocent enough, with absolutely no malice intended. It is comments such as his, not yours, that will keep race at the forefront of our co-existence, continuing to stir the pot of perceived discrimination well into the future.

You couldn't be more wrong. We wouldn't be talking about race had he not mentioned that he spoke with two black gentlemen in the first place. Should he get a medal or something for speaking with another race? He makes it sound like it isn't possible to have great conversations with black gentlemen so he had to point out how great it was to speak to two black gentlemen. Good for him. Did he meet his quota for the year?

Seriously? You are looking for an issue that isn't there. I don't see any way that you got offended by that.

These two Mexicans I just spoke with disagree. At least I think they do. Broken English and all.

Yeah, you ARE reaching. And way overly dramatic. If you're offended by inocuous comments like that one, find another place to whine. The whole tone of your criticism is ridiculous. Lighten up Francis.

Makes me wonder if you are an older fella also. Only old folks speak like he did. At least he didn't call them colored.

I dare one more of you to bring it up on BGP.
