Oldham really struggled from the line. South did a good job converting their free throws. Especially late.

Coach Steve Simpson has had the Dragons knocking on the Sweet 16 door for several years. Finally glad that he and his coaching staff got the job done.

Congrats to the south oldham kids and coach Simpson! Coach Simpson is a quality coach and even better man. South is very entertaining to watch, play fast yet fundamental basketball.

Not sure on how long he's been there, but he sure has matured. He had some very questionable calls in the first half but he kept his composure and didn't let it affect his decision making, then late in the game when he was trying to hold the ball players took some quick and questionable shots, shook his head in amazement, called timeout and calmly explained in a firm manner score and time without putting unneeded pressure on his players. Great job coach Simpson!

I am extremely happy for Coach Simpson! I have had the honor of playing for him (he was my Freshman Coach) and then coaching against him. He does a great job and i wish him and his team well at the State Tournament. I love seeing someone who is a lifetime coach finally get the opportunity to coach at Rupp in the Greatest SHow in Hoops! Enjoy the moment and represent the 8th region well!

Also, very happy for assistant Bobby Simpson, who has put in many hours over the years.

Congrats on the big win for Coach Simpson, staff and the South boys. It's great when nice guys get to finish first.
