That's excellent Walter... just 7 minutes after I ask why no one ever seems to notice Pearson, you post your interview with Snapp making it clear how big he was in the 2nd half. :thumb: Looks like you noticed.

Both Milligan and Niehaus played solid for Dixie tonight.

They played offensively OK. Milligan posts hard. Niehaus needs to be more aggressive. Settles too often.

Neither played good D. Neither slid over to help when Newport beat Dixie on the perimeter. Same for Hedger.

Again, their best team and individual ball is ahead of them.

A big thumbs up goes out to Cody Pearson. :thumb: After sitting most of the 1st half with the couple of fouls that he got with his assignment of trying to contain Hatton, he plays a huge roll in Newport's comeback in pouring in ALL of his 15 points in the 2nd half... And... just as it has been all season long... again no one seemed to notice. Honestly, what does the kid have to do to be apart of the discussion? :idunno:

Rest assured that while I was watching Pearson's 2nd half performance I was thinking of you.

Newport did a fairly nice job on Hatton. I thought he was OK - not really sharp. Outside shot wasn't there.

CCH will not have to play great to beat Newport.

How did Daria look?

Didn't do much that I recall.

 Funny thing is that knowing that you haven't had much opportunity this season to see him play, I was thinking to myself during the game that I was glad that you finally got to see him in action.

Real glad that he was able to shine on the big stage.

Honestly, imho, overmatched. I felt like Newport took advantage of Dixie lacking ball skills and bulk from their lead guards not named Hatton...

I too agree that Milligan should have seen more time...

I have to say that I agree with you. Taking nothing away from Newport's victory tonight, it's a whole different story when comparing what a disciplined team CCH is to Newport. I wouldn't want the Colonels to approach the game thinking this way exactly, but yeah... CCH is a different well oiled machine altogether.

Thanks hoops for directing me to the article. It's good to see him get the validation and recognition that he's been deserving. :thumb:
