Last year he loses in first round of region after being up 19 to start the 4th, and now comes from behind to win in districts. So obviously he isn't stupid!

With two nieces on the girls bb team and two sons on the swim team, I don't get to many of the boys games. Of the games I have been to, I have noticed almost as many kids on crutches as those that were dressed. I noticed everyone playing hard and with intensity. I know of at least two girls team that held a state ranking that did not make it out of the district round. I'm thankful the SK boys are still playing!

Did this game have the most fans combined who do not like their head coach? Seems like these two guys catch a lot of crap.

Don't call him inept, Steiner works hard at what he does, his players play hard for him and they win. Maybe not enough to suit you or like i said maybe your son couldn't handle playing for him. He isn't inept, he is a very good high school coach!

Its cool to see a wife get on here to take up for her man :)

Some parents need to be sensitized to how much coaches and their families sacrifice so that their kids can be coached!

Are you kidding me. You have to be crazy if you think Coach Hicks is not liked or respected in Grant County.

For the most part, the parents love him.

My post was sarcastic. I'm on your side jaws. I just think its funny how fast we jump on coaches who are successful, hicks or Steiner. I think they both do a good job. Leave Steiner alone. He's successful. That's coming from a grant county fan too!

Me too, but nice try.

Steiner has done more than a good job with the emotional ups and downs this team has dealt with this year.

What emotional ups and downs are you referring to? I know they lost the Ayers kid, but most teams deal with injuries, just curious.

A number of other programs would love to have either coach.

You mean other than SK and WV fans, right?

We all read and hear about coaches being disliked by fans so it's hardly unusual but these two schools' base seems to ratchet it up a bit.
