Why did Cincy X and Cincy Elder drop Trinity?

Featured Replies

You forgot Highlands #3 nationally abused the Bombers in 2009.

But of course he did...You used "abused", I like the word "destroyed" LOL

Highlands wasn't ranked 3rd. And didn't they only win by 5? And to your post blue bomber. Cincy x beat Lou x in 2009 when Lou x was ranked 16 in nation.

I don't see Dale calling to try to get a regular season game on the schedule with Trinity.

Here is a question: as it stands right now, is Cincy St. Xavier or Louisville Trinity looking for games to fill out the schedule? I have read here that Trinity has multiple openings in its 2013 schedule (I don't know if this is true, but it has been written on BGP). I have not heard anything about Saint X's schedule. If Cincy St. X's schedule is currently full and Trinity's schedule has openings, then it would seem unusual for Trinity to be the party that nixed this game being played in 2013. I would have to think that most teams (especially teams of Trinity's caliber) would prefer to play a game against a challenging opponent than to play no game at all.

Cincy St. X has 10 games already. They play:

Ben Davis, IN

Colerain, OH

Indy Cathedral, IN

Brentwood Acad, TN

Moeller, OH

Elder, OH

LaSalle, OH

Warren Central, IN

St. Ignatius, OH

Lou St. X, KY

This has been the schedule since they released it in January. Cathdral has always been a close game, Brentwood is known for being tough and playing an equally competitive schedule, Colerain is the only public school in OH with enough guts to play St. X repeatedly, of course the 3 GCLS league games, the giant of Cleveland St. Iggy and our doppleganger from Louisville.

You call Highlands winning 12-7 abused? Get a grip! Not exactly a beatdown. I forgot and left it out. No, they were not #3 nationally.

Not to mention, Highlands would not return the favor and play X at X in 2010. Maybe they thought it wasn't an almost certain win.

Yes, Cin X defeated Lou X when Lou X was #16. Thank you for pointing that out!

Especially not after they got the pounding of a lifetime in the scrimmage in 2011.

Hahaha I love how y'all get upset so early in the morning. Don't get your feathers ruffled so easy.

I don't think anybody's upset. I just responded to several posts. A bit too many in a row, but oh well.

Hell, this isn't eary for me anyway. I wake up at 5:30. This is late for me.

Luckily they were not as embarassing as the two spankings T administered to the Tigers that year. Lot's of people in the same boat in 2011 when it came to the Rocks.

They were probably more embarrassing seeing as those spankings occurred in you all 's back yard. And it's also more embarrassing that you all are scared to out them on the schedule.

Specht hates losing.

That's not true. He wouldn't allow a suicide schedule every year if he hated to lose. What he hates are players who miss their assignments and poor execution.

In 2011 it was at T. Now X on the other hand has been remarkably inept the past few years, taking their spankings anywhere they play T, leaving the Tigers embarassingly left in the dust. Don't see anyone dropping X from their schedules.

 not too shabby. 2011 win over Cincy x top 50 in country. 2009 state champs. 2012 lost by 1 pt to T in playoffs, due to questionable play calling. So i say to you not too bad. Not quite up to par with X standards. But stay tuned this year.
