Take Cincy X for example (ya know, from the topic?) Everybody is saying X cancelled. Okay, it's in Cincinnati @ X, with X returning 70% of their team with many more having some varsity playing time during 2012 when X only lost to Trinity by 1 in the final seconds. What logic is there in X cancelling the game? No doubt, it would be another great game but that was my logic I was attempting to explain.

 

These teams were not almost certain to win anything.

4-2 vs Cincy X. Obviously the OH team was not certain to win. Trinity is a great team. I'm not discrediting that, just discrediting your assumption. I hate to see it go.

I did not post this to play a game but to add to the conversation in an informative manner - based on an actual conversation. I did speak with the parent and have no reason to make this up. I have no dog in this fight. I personally want to see Trinity play the OH teams.

 

 

I spoke with our AD and Coach...and they are adamant that didn't happen. See how this game works.....oh and I did speak with those that I said I did.

I am sure the talk in Bomberland is that Trinity dropped them. One thing I am certain of and that is RockPride has a relationship with the powers that be at Trinity and if he says he talked to them he did. With that in mind it appears pretty obvious that officials at one of the schools are having a problem with the truth assuming the powers that be at Cincy X are pointing the finger at Trinity.

If Cincy St. X's schedule is currently full and Trinity's schedule has openings, then it would seem unusual for Trinity to be the party that nixed this game being played in 2013. I would have to think that most teams (especially teams of Trinity's caliber) would prefer to play a game against a challenging opponent than to play no game at all.

They are misinformed. A quick review of Trinity's scheduling situaton should be proof enough. The Bombers could have asked for more money than Trinity was willing to pay. It is often not as simple as home and home. Specht hates losing.

That must be Trinity because St. X has had Brentwood Academy, TN scheduled in week 4 since January when the schedule was released. St. X has all 10 games and has for a while. So before you go spouting about something you have no knowledge of, do a little research.

 

Indeed, somebody is telling stories. X is playing the 3 top teams in Indiana (Indy Cathedral, Warren Central, Ben Davis) on top of Brentwood Academy, TN and Colerain and St. Ignatius and the rest of the 3 GCL league games and Lou St. X. If you can count, that makes 10. None of those games are guaranteed wins either since they trade wins back and forth between Lou X and St. Ignatius, Colerain and the rest. They've never played Ben Davis or Brentwood and Warren Central hasn't been played in over 10 years. An awful lot of tough competition to be scared of losing. Maybe that's not the issue afterall (thank you very much).
