The Owls sure surprised a lot of people (including me) with this big upset. It sounded on the radio like the Reed kid really stepped up. Great win Owls!

Way to go Owls. One of the best games at Owsley that i have seen in a long time. Reed made the best play of the game blocking the 6'8" center. Great atomsphere in Owsley. The place was a Rockin. :ylsuper:

Owsley played a great game. It would have been hard for anybody to beat them at their house last night.

I have watched JBS play 4 or 5 times this year and still can't believe that JBS does not use their 6'8" center. They throwed him the ball at the first of the game and he turned around and scored. I don"t remember them throwing him the ball after that. JBS could be a really good team if they got every player involved instead of just trying to let the coaches nephews shoot all those wild shots. I sat with some coaches who were there scouting the game and they could not believe what JBS coaches were doing. The Cox kid was outstanding.

 

I think Owsley looked good and are better than their record now that they have the Smith kid back. He is one of the better players I have seen in the 14th region this year. Good luck to Owsley the rest of the way.

Great Job Owls. Neeley stepped it up offensivley, the bucket was looking GINORMOUS for him last night. Smith played his usual game, leader of the team, big player in a big game. Trey Congelton stepped it up defensivley and grabbed some boards. What about the last 2 plays of the game though? Dustin Wilson stepping up big and getting the "And 1" play, then Josh Reed with a tremendous defensive play on the other end. Owls really stepped up big and played to win. KUDOS.

Yes, it's ordinarily easier for any team to win at home; however, JBS has won an equal number at home and away. 7 at Pippa Passes and 7 away. They've lost 1 at home and 2 away.

 

Congratulations, Owsley County. This was obviously a very good game.
