Great game in front of a good crowd in Booneville. This game was back and forth all night. I believe the biggest lead Owsley had was 6 and the biggest for JBS was 3. It went right down to the wire. JBS had a shot at the end but Owsley blocked their 6'8 kid and regain the rebound as time expired.

 

Daniel Neeley was hot tonight for the Owls, hitting 6 threes and scoring 20 points. Robert Smith added 14 with a bunch of rebounds (I don't know how many). Trey Congleton had 7, Dustin Wilson 7 (and the go ahead points for Owsley) and Josh Reed 5.

 

Tate Cox led JBS with 19 with 4 treys, Clark Stepp had 14, Collins 6, Howard 6, Clint Stepp 3, Huff 2, and Conley 1.

One of the best games that has been played at the Palace in a long time. Owsley County seems to be gelling as a team and at the right time.

 

An excellent atmosphere for a ball game and an excellent game to watch.

Robert finished the game with 10 rebounds. Trey finished the game with eleven according to the radio.

I couldn't see who blocked it, but I thought it was Reed, just wasn't sure. Reed and Wilson both made HUGE plays at the end of the game :ylsuper: . Not bad for two kids who didn't even play basketball last year.

A great game for owsley. I listinged to it on the radio, while i watched wolfe beat Hazard.. BOO!!! Good win for the wolves. It sounded like Neeley and Smith had there way with JBS; they scored about 7 or 8 straight possesions. Owsley is becoming a tough team, but they will have there hands full come Friday night, facing a very good Lee COunty team. That game will have a tremendous atmoshpere. I will definently drive over and watch that game.

Friday night could be one of the biggest crowds ever to watch an 14th region All A game. It will be a great atmosphere with two fierce rivals going to war.
