Per recent events, I would suggest a move for Owsley and Wolfe up the scale quite a bit. But it's only a suggestion.

Wait until after the All "A" is over, then see how things are shaken up. Im predicting that this list will be in constant turmoil the rest of the season.

To bad only 2 of these will make it to the region.

When was the last time this region was so hard to rank? Man, this is fun

:thumb: I love it! Should be an interesting road to Rupp.

There may only be one of these teams to make it to the regional tourny, last i checked Buckhorn was pretty good as well

IMO Leslie Co. should be the best team, but they have had and up and down season. Played great in the WYMT Classic, but have had three loses since then.

Usally its on a given night when the moon shines just right and the tides rises a 8-15 ranked team could knock off a 1-5. But this season in the 14th on just about any given night any team could beat any other team. I dont know if there has ever not been a definate 1 or 2 esp. since perry was formed(or in the past) but i know i'd hate to bet on any team to win or loose a big game this season. The region is wide open and there are 15 teams who wont sleep good until season is over. The region should be something special to watch.

I like these three teams good enough but I dont see where you can say that after the many losses these teams have had this year. Before the season started I would have picked one of these three teams to win the region this year but now I wouldnt be surprised if none of these make the semifinals.jmo

Everybody knows after all the losses Leslie has had & the teams they have had them too, it's still theres to lose.

Guys, I've observed 14th region basketball for a long time.

Lee County is the best team in the region at the present time. I realize they lost at Letcher, Perry, and Knott....but at the present time, they are the best team in the region imo. Their DEFENSE is waht makes the difference, and they are improving and gaining confidence every game they play. Their point guard, Kenny Brandenburg, has turned into a complete floor leader. In the past he seemed to worry too much about 3 pointers, but now he is more concerned about involving all his teammates

Lee County doesn't really have anyone who stands out, but they don't need to. They have a balance team of very good players....with a lot of 6'2-6'3 kids. I think they are the team to beat in the region when march rolls around....assuming they continue to play like they did this past weekend. They are a good defensive team, and that wins a lot of tournaments, even if the shots aren't falling.
