I think NCC won 37-34.

NewCath 17-14 at half

NewCath 27-16 end of 3rd.

NewCath 37-34 final.

Who from NCC said that NCC wouldn't run up the score on HHS like CovCath? :idunno:

It is hard for CCH and NCH to not run the score up when there JV is playing in the 3rd quarter. They want to play well in a varsity game to.

Yuk... Were there any bright spots for Highlands tonite

They were serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches in the concession area. :thumb:

All I can say after this one is "LETS PLAY FOOTBALL"

Did someone say CCH ran the score up on HHS? For what it's worth, I don't see how either team ran the score up. If someone said that, hopefully it was in jest. If not, whoever said such, please turn in your booster card. That's weak IMO!

If NCC gets up on Highlands they will not run up the score like CC did.

Shooting 3's up 44-9 constitutes running it up but no excuses, you gotta stop em.

Ok thanks! That explains a lot.

Nah, not in a game between these two schools. I just don't see it that way. Just saying.

"On paper this game is a mismatch. Like most of the Thoroughbred opponents, HHS will struggle to handle the size of NCC. Hoping for a close, competitive game"

The above quote was my post from the predicition thread. Game wasn't even as close as the final score indicated and was never competitive.

To say that HHS struggled with NCC's size is an understatement.

NCC's bigs demand so much defensive attention that HHS has to sag and drop and help on every possession. Beuter and Pangallo and the rest are way to good to be left with open looks - they knocked them down one after another tonight. If they happened to mis a shot, the bigs were there for second chance points.

HHS has had several outs this year with low point production. It was magnified tonight by the defensive effort of NCC. Once again, the bigs have a lot to do with this. Devoto, Pangallo, Beuter and friends are quick , in your face, on ball defenders. If you break contain, you have the bigs patrolling the lane altering shots and cleaning the boards. A recipe for a miserable offensive night for the Birds.

Birds rebounded with a nice win after the CovCath beatdown by defeating Campbell; maybe they can do the same on Thursday by upending Seven Hills.

59 is running up the score?

It almost seemed like the Breds knew all of the Birds plays. They were denying passes pressuring the ball and altering shots all Night. If they play with the same intensity in the 9th Region tourney then they will win it. Throw in the fact that they are hungry as well.

Best of Luck to the Breds.

Highlands needs to have a short Memory and come out and win on Thursday.
