Coach Hicks has this one set up for his Scott County team to be in the finals

 

Simon Kenton is in the killer bracket!!They have to get through Henry Clay, E-town, and Male just to have a chance to play the Cards.

Yeah right! If you really want to see home cookin at its best, go to the Hicks Classic. As an outsider with no dog in the fight I have seen some of the worst home cookin ever at the Toyota Classic.

Kleenex please! I have been every year to this tournament since it started. I have to say. In 1990 was not a good called tournament but the rest have been good. I have seen nothing different that I have seen at other tournaments. Its well run as well officiated. What do people expect the host team to play the toughest team in the tournament the first night. You gotta sale some tickets guys. This tournament is a heck of money maker. It pretty much funds all the other sports in the school except boys and girls basketball and football. It sure beats the crap out bingo. Never been to the Hicks Classic wheres that at in Western Ky.

This is one of the greatest events in Kentucky every year. There is one change this year, there are no out of state teams in the feild this year. Tonight there should be a pretty good game between Male and Elizabethtown.

I agree that it is a very well run and hosted tournament. However, as an outside spectator with no dog in the fight, I witnessed a northern Kentucky team really get some bad calls just 2 or 3 years ago in the finals against the "Red Heat". I was just there to watch some good basketball.

I've seen a couple of teams get it stuck to'em in the Hicks Classic. I've got an extra pair of glasses if you need them KHSB1.

I saw Scott County and Simon Kenton in the Toyota Classic final, I believe in 1999. The Pioneers definitely got the short end of the stick.

I don't have a problem with massaging the bracket to give yourself a good opportunity to do well, but let the teams play. No room for HomeCooking in this type event. If you want teams to continue to come back.

For those of you who saw the E-town/male game. I noticed in the box score that E-town shoots 25 free throws and Male only shoots 8? That is quite a big difference in a 5 pt game? If anyone who was there could provide some information, it would be greatly appreciated.
