Sounds like the better team and coach won tonight. Getting out scored 21-8 in the 4th tells me that Conner was gassed and didn't make adjustments to stop the bleeding.

 

Conner wasn't gased. Pluto had 4 fouls backup point guard was injured in JV game. Highlands coach Richey attacked the situation as all good coaches would and took advantage. It paid off and highlands came back to win.

 

Highlands fans need to give her more respect. 2 weeks ago fans wanted to run her out of Ft.Thomas because of a loss.

If you are not talking about contested shots and you are talking about very good looks. Then what is a uncontested shot?

 

Missed layups/stick backs that were uncontested were part of it, but also drives and kicks to wide open 3's and 10-15 footers. Those were uncontested. I think people are misunderstanding the post. Not saying every missed shot was uncontested, but they missed MANY shots that are usually lights out. Many different players. I'm in no way putting Conner down for their defense. Some need to settle down. The birds almost always have someone step up and hit shots. They have several that have the ability. It appeared they were all cold last night. However, HHS was missing one of their shooters, so maybe it was her turn and she was out!

 

I can turn this around and say do you think that all their misses were because of Conner's defense? Some were and some weren't. I'm talking about and singling out the misses that were "uncontested".

This wasn't the best game played by either team in my opinion but I congratulate Highlands on their come from behind win. I'm sure Coach Stamm was up late lastnight trying to replay the 4th qtr in his head. Good effort by both teams and I won't be surprised if these 2 meet again in the Regional Tournament. 2 very talented and well coached teams. Good luck to them both the rest of the season.

They both played bad in my opinion, except for a few individual efforts. But we have to remember that both teams played bad, not just one. Tracey Jones...it is what it is. I'm sure we'd both love to see a rematch in the region finals, but if we don't fix some things, neither of us will be there. I don't care what SK did to ND, they and NCC will have something to say about the region.

I don't think anyone should care about SK they aren't even in our region. This was a good game but in the long run really means nothing. Conner needs to worry more about the district games and tourney first.

The Maines technical was the turning point & gave Highlands momentum. She loses her composure in every sport she plays & is a loose cannon IMO. Meyers is just returning from injury so I think she is earning her starting spot. When she was on the floor & they got her the ball, Conner looked good!!

 

I was very impressed with the play of Meyers. They need to get her more minutes.

She apparently is the type of player that gives 110% every single second of every single game and she plays with alot of emotion and wears her heart on her sleeve.

 

I wouldnt pin this lose on one kid, I would spin it and say if every girl on Conner or for that matter any team in NKY played with her intensity nobody would beat them.

I would take 15 of the Maines girl on my team anyday...Just sayin.

I think the T came from just being frustrated by the hounding in your face defense that Highlands threw at them in the 4th.

 

I think Conner had just turned it over 4 straight times down the floor due to the pressures of the trap.

 

Conner will be a better team from this upset loss. Heck look at what ND did the next game out after their loss to SK.

 

Who does Conner have next, Ill bet that will be ugly for their next opponent.
